10/10 – An unforgettable experience with Untamed Escapes! - 10/10 – An unforgettable experience with Untamed Escapes! I truly wish I was still waking up in my swag each morning—this tour was something I never wanted to end. The Uluru to Adelaide trip marked the final days of my time in Australia, and I couldn't have asked for a more perfect way to conclude my journey. As a type-A planner, I especially appreciated Untamed Escapes' excellent communication leading up to the trip. They promptly answered all my questions via email and provided a detailed itinerary and thorough pre-packing guide—something most companies don’t take the time to do. It made a huge difference to know what to expect while still leaving room for surprises throughout the adventure. Our guide, Eli, was absolutely phenomenal—I can’t say enough positive things about him. From day one, our small group of six felt completely comfortable and at ease. Eli went above and beyond, not just with his safe driving and incredible meal prep (delicious Thai green curry!), but also with the care and energy he brought to each day. His passion for Australia, and especially for sharing and honoring Aboriginal culture, was both inspiring and deeply moving. He took the time to get to know each of us and made it clear how much he genuinely enjoys his work—something that makes all the difference on a long tour like this. Every day held thoughtful surprises and unique experiences, all thanks to Eli’s enthusiasm and care. We were incredibly fortunate to take part in two cultural tours led by different Aboriginal groups—one in Uluru and one in the Flinders Ranges. It’s hard to put into words how meaningful these experiences were. I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to learn directly from these communities and to have had even a small glimpse into their rich traditions and culture, especially in light of the historical hardships they’ve endured. Thank you to Untamed Escapes for partnering with these groups and allowing us to be part of something so special. Overall, this trip was nothing short of magical—an experience I will treasure and reflect on for years to come. Each day was filled with awe and natural beauty, and I’ll especially miss the stargazing at night. I wasn’t sure how I’d get to see the Australian outback, but now I can confidently say there’s no better way than with Untamed Escapes. Thank you for the adventure of a lifetime!

Best tour I've ever done! - I am a solo traveler and had the best time and a lot of fun with this tour. Our tour guide Eli was just great, knew a lot about the culture and history of this country. He was always in a good mood and you could tell how much he liked this job. Through the cultural tours even conducted by Aboriginal people, you will learn about the culture and its life first-hand. The different hiking trails are also super great and beautiful. Would do this tour again and again and definitely recommend. Culture, hiking and fun are guaranteed!

Amazing cultural experience - The Untamed Escapes journey from Uluru to Adelaide is an unforgettable outback adventure. From the spiritual majesty of Uluru at sunrise to the rugged beauty of the Flinders Ranges, every moment feels immersive and authentic. The small group size fosters a friendly, communal vibe, while the guides are passionate storytellers who bring Australia’s ancient landscapes and Indigenous culture to life. Stargazing in the desert, hiking through dramatic gorges, and spotting wildlife in remote terrain made the experience truly unique. The balance between activity, relaxation, and cultural connection was spot-on. This isn’t just a tour—it’s a journey that stays with you.

best australia experience ever - This is the first time ever I’m writing a review so that’s proof of how good this tour is. This tour is definitely our highlight of whole Australia. Eli was the best tour guide you could imagine. He‘s a very friendly, funny, adventurous guy and has a huge knowledge and passion for the aboriginal culture. With his courteous way he made the tour enjoyable for the whole group and he knew very well how to deal with the heat. I would recommend this tour to everyone willing to see one of the most beautiful and breathtaking sides of Australia in an adventurous way. We got to know each of the group very well and soon it felt like we‘ve grown into a small family. We had both, very active hiking days and some time to relax at the pool aswell. Stunning views, sunrises and sunsets and on top of that the most wonderful night sky with stars and the milky way were a nice extra.

Once in a lifetime experience - Eli was an amazing guide, passionate about the tour and great to chat with. Great dive into the culture of the aboriginals. If you are doing this tour I would be prepared to pay some more once on it as you do visit some restaurants for lunch/dinner from time to time.

Amazing trip and amazing swaggy time! - Highly recommended! This trip will definitely be one of my best memories in Australia. Our guide Tom is an amazing human being. He's patient, humorous, kind and very talented in music (check out his music on Spotify! Search Tom West). The group all had a wonderful time in the outback because of him. I wish the very best for his journey in music, will miss our swaggy time at the camp sites!
