Fantastic! - Ellie, our guide, was a really warm, lovely person who was clearly passionate about York and its history. She shared her knowledge using interesting stories and was engaging throughout the tour, linking back to Harry Potter as we went. To make it even more fun and interesting, we picked ‘houses’ out the ‘sorting hat’ before we set off, and took part in team quiz questions and activities throughout the tour, this participation added an extra fun element to what was already a great activity. The route saw us walk the city walls, learn more about York’s sinister past, see York Minster and end up at the Shambles. A really fun and interesting 2 hours. Thanks Ellie!

Fantastic day, great fun - Great fun and very informative tour. Ellie was fantastic and really felt like we could ask lots of questions and more in depth as was just the two of us on the tour. Ellie battled through the 70mph winds to deliver a brilliant experience, would definitely recommend to friends!

Absolute must!!! - Absolutely spell binding from start to finish; some amazing knowledge was shared and a gorgeous tour of the city!!! The ladies were amazing and clearly loved their job - we fell in love with the city even more than we thought!!! Excellent value for money!!! The girls Ellie and Alliyah were absolutely unreal in their approach! Top class!!!

A bit random - Sold as a 2 hour tour with enactment, costume etc. actually 1 hr 40 (as for the first 20 mins the tour guide was calling people who had booked but not turned up to the correct meeting location), no enactments and no costumes . The tour was not really related to Harry Potter… there were some tenuous links thrown in ‘this building looks like the potions classroom’ , ‘the ruin’s windows look like the great hall’s windows’ but in reality none of the filming was done in York. The tour was simply a wander around York with random Harry Potter questions / commentary thrown in. Selling this as a HP tour is really mis-selling the tour. Asking questions / giving info about a book / film does not make a tour about that topic…. This tour could have been sold as a Star Wars tour and the only difference would have been interaction on the topic of Star Wars. The tour guide Ellie was nice enough and very upbeat and positive. Overall did not deliver what was promised.
