Wonderful tour by informative and interesting guide Gawel! - I planned on the morning Old Town tour but went on the afternoon tour in the Jewish quarter since the first tour was so excellent. Gawel provided not only so many interesting facts about each tour area and the subjects but also provided an extremely helpful map with information about the area. It was a perfect way to learn about history and parts of Warsaw and highly recommended these tours with Gawel.

Warsaw WWII Tour - Lessons for us all - My wife and I attended this tour with friends. We were all travelling from the UK. It was our friends who booked the tour, having been on similar walks in other cities. The tour was a real eye opener, as I had no real prior understanding of what the residents had to endure during the second world war. Our guide was extremely passionate and knowledgeable. Many of the events leading up to and during WWII had concerning parallels with the current situation in Europe. He spoke impeccable english and was able to answer our groups questions. We thoroughly recommend this tour and will now be on the lookout for similar in the future.

Terrible experience at best - Even if Gawel is good on the hystorical part and explains well, good English etc, he is one to avoid. Never met a person who can be more aggressive towards other guides, rude, with clear hatred towards Russians but also a guy who despises kids in a slightly manner, even if he says he has one of his own. Bad remarks towards kids, yells at them, screams at other guides and also he told us that he is not liked by the church personnel( I wonder why ) . He almost hit the group several times with his umbrella, as he does not bother to be careful as he turns around.
