Amazing Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu and Rainbow Mountain tour! - Our experience with Machu Picchu Viajes Peru was incredible! Our guide, Juan Carlos (JC), amazed us with his deep knowledge and passion for the history and culture of each site. From the breathtaking views at Machu Picchu and Rainbow Mountain to the rich history of Chinchero, Moray’s agricultural terraces, and the Maras salt mines, JC’s insightful commentary made each place come alive. Ollantaytambo and Pisac were equally captivating, thanks to JC’s expertise in Incan history. He wasn’t just our guide — he also acted as our photographer and videographer, even carrying my daughter on his shoulders to help her reach the top of Rainbow Mountain. We also learned from him the tradition of sharing food with the locals during our hike. My kids learned about sharing and appreciating what they have. He truly went above and beyond! Special thanks to Freddy for patiently accommodating my wife’s requests and questions during the booking process. Highly recommend!

Worth it if you can only spare one day at Machu Picchu - We were initially upset we couldn’t swing a longer trip to Machu Picchu, but this one day tour did a great job getting us to see the site in the short amount of time. I am generally an anxious traveler and the group eased my mind entirely with how well planned/organized the day was. They come to your hotel the night before to deliver your tickets for each transfer and answer any questions. While it was a long day of traveling (5am pickup, 730pm drop off) which meant about 3 hours at MP site, I still think it was totally worth it. Plus, the train ride is beautiful so ends up being a fun experience. Our tour guide, William, was great and my husband and I ended up having a private tour just by chance - so clearly the company does not overbook their excursions. Overall, worth the money and travel time!! Highly recommend if you only have one day to spare.

This Company was Great for the Most Part - This was the BEST experience ever for my husbands birthday . I will write the pros and cons below. I hope this helps for any individual who wishes to visit especially Americans. Please book with them if you are not fluent in Spanish . You will need a tour guide for sure. PLEASE bring cash with you. PLEASE dress warm . Please bring a thermal travel bottle, put some tea in it. You’ll need it and thank me later. Pros: - Tour guide was phenomenal . I do not remember his name but I will post pictures. Please tip your tour guides . I say this because of how much time they spend supporting us and being away from their families . Remember work in US , is not like work in other countries. He spoke English and Spanish . My husband was born in the Dominican Republic so I asked our tour guide to speak Spanish since it was more comfortable for my husband but when I had questions he responded in English. He made sure we had a place to put our suitcases because we actually flew in from Lima for one day to Cusco and got picked up by taxi to the train . VERY long day . We did Circuit 2 . Circuit 2 is supposedly the best but I think any circuit is fine - This company’s organization from hotel pick up to train drop off, to tour guide, to train , to airport drop off was EXCELLENT . The communication from 3 am until I left Cusco was phenomenal . They got it down packed and made it happen . It was well worth the price. - There is food at Machu picchu . The burger is as actually really good. There is a BEAUTIFUL hotel at the top. We set inside the bar area and bought drinks while waiting on the bus to take us down to the trains . You cannot sit in there without buying something and/or use their restrooms. But the drinks are good. Please just buy a drink and use bathroom here. It’s clean and it’s worth it . - The train was beautiful . I was on the vista dome ❤️. Pictures included. - The locals are very friendly . Bought souvenirs here while waiting for taxi back to Cusco . Cons: - Altitude in Cusco. Please look on Amazon and buy some altitude medicine or portable inhaler before you do this hike if you are not a hiker . I AM NOT a hiker but I was okay . My husband on the other hand , the altitude made him not feel so well . He was happy to get back to Lima although he enjoyed . - Was never refunded my 80$ for the changes to my train . As they indicated they would in writing .

Epic Day at Machu Pichu! - It’s a long day but worth the journey. We booked the private option (just do it) with Vistadome train. The day before, Blossom meet with us at our hotel to provide instructions and expectations for the day and provide us with all of our necessary tickets. Tour day, We were picked up from or hotel on time by our driver Ernesto. He provided the transportation between the Hotel and Olytamtambo. From there, we took the train to Aguas Calientes and met our guide for Machu Pichu. Juan Carlos was an excellent guide and has deep knowledge regarding Machu Pichu, Inca Culture, and Puruvian history. Our package included Circuit 2 which gives you some of the best viewpoints of the site. You will need to have a moderate level of physical fitness due to the altitude, steps, and uneven surfaces. Juan Carlos was great at keeping a good pace and providing rest stops. You will have around 2 1/2 hours once inside. If you really want to learn about the culture this is the tour for you.

This travel company made everything easy. - Was leaving Peru after working in Lima for almost 2 years. Before I left, I really had to go and see MP. I was recommended this company by a friend. From the moment I arrived at Cusco airport (Saturday evening) to the moment I left (Tuesday afternoon) they organised absolutely everything. Airport pick-ups, buses, trains, MP tickets all organised with the minimum of fuss. The day trip from Cusco is a long one, but certainly worth it. I left my hotel at 0515 and got back at 2130. For the actual tour of MP, this lasted about 3 hours. I was very lucky to get a one-to-one guide. My guide (William) was excellent; very knowledgable and friendly. All the transports, the actual tickets for MP and the tour guide. All for just $350, great value for money and I have no worries about 100% recommending them for your trip.
