- Firostefani - Nestled in the northern region of Santorini, Firostefani lies between the renowned towns of Fira and Imerovigli. Although officially recognized as a separate village, it is essentially an extension of Santorini’s capital, Fira. Positioned at Fira’s highest point, Firostefani translates to the “Crown of Fira,” with “Stefani” meaning crown in Greek, symbolizing the “Crown of Nature.”
- Imerovigli - Explore Imerovigli, the highest town in Santorini, known for its whitewashed houses and iconic blue-domed churches. As a preserved traditional settlement, its architecture remains largely unchanged, reflecting the Cycladic and local Fira styles. Today, Imerovigli is a thriving tourist destination, offering top-notch hotels, restaurants, and shops, attracting visitors from around the globe.
- Oia - Oia is one of Santorini’s most beloved and frequented locations. This charming town, situated in the southern Aegean Sea on the islands of Thera and Thirasia, covers the entire island of Thirasia and the northwestern part of Santorini. Oia is famed for its stunning sunsets and enchanting sunrises. The village features two types of dwellings: cave houses carved into the volcanic rock and captain houses. With its pastel-colored homes, windmills, and domed churches cascading down the hillside, Oia is an idyllic spot for relaxation. It’s a top holiday destination on the island, and even if staying elsewhere, a day trip is highly recommended.
- Castelli of Pyrgos - Experience the charm of Pyrgos Castle and immerse yourself in local culture. Located in Pyrgos, Santorini’s highest settlement, the atmospheric Castle of Pyrgos, built around 1580, is likely the last of the island’s five fortified settlements. Its strategic location offers breathtaking views of expansive plains and the glistening Aegean Sea.
- Estate Argyros - Situated on the outskirts of Episkopi-Gonia, approximately 5.5 km southeast of Fira, the modern and picturesque Argyros winery estate boasts a spacious tasting room with ocean views at the heart of their vineyard. Enjoy sampling four different wines at Santorini’s second-largest winery.
- Kamari Beach - Kamari Beach is one of Santorini’s most popular beaches, located in the southeast and framed by stunning cliffs. This expansive beach is covered in black volcanic pebbles rather than sand. Separated from Perissa by the large Mesa Vouno rock, Kamari Beach offers a fantastic experience. While the pebbles can be uncomfortable on hot days, beach shoes provide a quick solution. Some areas may be challenging for water entry, but the water is beautiful once in. The far end of Kamari, near the large rock, offers easier sea access and finer sand, making it more family-friendly and quieter.
