Enjoy the untouched splendor during a half-day journey to the Briksdal Glacier. Beginning in Olden, take a bus ride through the valley, observing the ‘small red church,’ the Lake of Olden, vibrant farms and many cascades. Upon arrival at the Briksdal Inn, a stunning pathway encompassed by waterfalls and mountains guides you to the glacier lake viewpoint where you can take in the splendid natural wonder. Glaciers can also be explored in a ‘troll car’ available for rent if walking isn’t preferred or possible.

- At time of booking, Cruise ship passengers must provide the following information at time of booking “ship name”
- We advise all our guests to wear appropriate shoes and clothing
- All vehicles support foldable wheelchairs
- Terrain/surface are quite uneven for wheelchair access
- Contact us before booking if wheelchair ramp is needed!

The meeting point is within walking distance from the port/pier and most of the hotels. Look for our staff on the pier, bright yellow jackets, carrying our company logo. Be at the meeting point 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time.

Good information was... - Good information was shared, enough time was given to walk to the glacier, it is very beautiful. Two other stops were made that were interesting. We asked to be dropped off at the shops and they were able to do that.

A must see Shore Excursion - This was a highlight shore excursion of our Norway cruise. The hike was exhilarating and the sights incredible. So beautiful: rushing streams, waterfalls, mountains and, of course, the glacier itself. Worth every penny.

Amazing Day Hike! - This was a highlight of Olden Norway on the cruise. The bus tour was scenic getting to Briksdale Park entrance. The hike was very very scenic with lots of waterfalls everywhere. The glacier was worth seeing. Hike all the way and you will see the glacier lake. There are many viewing spots along the way. It’s an up hill hike with many flat areas as well and takes about 45 minutes. You can also take the troll car, but you should make reservations in advance as they sell out quickly.

Briksdal Glacier Excursion - The views were amazing. Hiking up to the glacier was exciting! We were able to take amazing pictures. I would highly recommend this excursion.

You have to walk to have your say - LONG WAY AND A LITTLE HARD
BUT IT'S WORTH IT

A must do trip - What a lovely couple of hours out, excellent guide knowledge and lovely coach to and from the glacier.
An easy enough walk to get to the glacier with epic scenery all around with enough time to take it all in.

Beautiful hike to the Birksdal glacier - The hike up to the glacier was gorgeous. Lots of places to stop and enjoy the rushing water flowing down the mountain and beautiful flowers were blooming everywhere. If you need assistance there are electric cars to drive you up, but my husband and I found the hike to be pretty easy. I would definitely recommend taking this tour.

Absolutely beautiful - Our tour guide Sam was amazing! The excursion was well organized. This is a must do if visiting Olden, Norway.
Sam was very conscientious of his tour participants, as he Put safety first
! Sam gave great advice about taking photos on the return route for timing. He gave out great positive vibes.
The Glacier and waterfalls were once in a life time kind of view. Done miss this excursion!!!

Difficult hike! - The scenery was beautiful. This is NOT a leisurely walk! Stems almost on the difficult side. There wasn’t a guide just a bus driver and lots of people.
