From the museum, proceed to Skateflukaia viewpoint to admire the breathtaking view over the city, followed by a tour through the heart of this magnificent art nouveau city.
- Due to new regulations from the city for Mount Aksla, there is an influx of new visitors to Alnes lighthouse. On some occasions our visit to Alnes may change from an inside visit to an outside or panorama visit.
- Tours conducted in April or October may be guided in English only, due to limited guide availability during the shoulder season.
- At time of booking, Cruise ship passengers must provide the following information at time of booking “ship name”
- Service animals are not allowed by default as other customers may have allergies, in case a service animal is needed please contact us
- May be operated by a multi-lingual guide in English due to mixed groups
- Some terrain may include uneven surface for wheelchair access
- Contact us before booking if wheelchair ramp is needed!
- Bring child/infant seats with you
- All vehicles support foldable wheelchairs

The meeting point is within walking distance from the port/pier and most of the hotels. Look for our staff on the pier, yellow jackets, carrying our company logo. Be at the meeting point 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time. Please note that "gate" means "street" in Norwegian.

Very nice trip - We made a wonderful tour with the Norway Excursions. It was well arranged. We were met at the ship and directed to the right bus. The stop in Bud was very nice. What a great view from there. The Atlantic route is probably more spectacular if you drive yourself, but from the bus the road and the view was beautiful.
Not unimportant: the sun was shining all day and that gave this tour that little bit extra of course. Moreover, we found the price / quality in accordance with each other.

Visiting Alesund for the first time - This tour provided a good overview of Alesund. The bus driver and tour guide were very professional and the guide was very knowledgeable about Alesund. The only complaint I had was that her talk was in 3 languages. That took up a lot of time and I felt that we missed out on some information.

Worthwhile Tour of Alesund - This is one of the best tours of Alesund you will find. Most tours do a similar route but visit Mount Aksla instead of the lighthouse. Mount Aksla is nice, but it can be easily summited by a quick hike from the center of town (even for someone who is out of shape). On the other hand, the lighthouse is remote, hard to access, and well worth a visit. I would highly recommend this tour.

Excellent experience! - We went in mid-August, it was a very well taken advantage of excursion, as in a few hours we could see all Alesund. We couldn’t get to the viewpoint, but it wasn’t the first time we went to the city and the route to it to climb on foot is very beautiful and full of flowers. So it is certainly a pleasant walk that can be done on its own.
Our guide, Laura, spoke to us in great detail about the lighthouse and the city of Alesund. Undoubtedly, a very good experience to make does leave with time and you want to see everything Alesund complete!

Beautiful, enlightening experience with great tour hosts, Joseph & Mario! Recommend it! - Joseph and Mario were great hosts of the tour! The tour was interesting, helped us learn about the life of Vikings, the boats, and their craftsmanship! The Ulness Lighthouse is a beautiful architectural marvel, with nice views from the top!

Overall, a very positive... - Overall, a very positive experience. Our guide (forgot to write down his name, he was Italian but had been living in Norway for the last 10 years) was very knowledgeable and provided just the right amount of information without being overbearing. Everything went as expected.

Wonderful sights, but tour somewhat lacking - We are so happy we visited the lighthouse and loved the open air museum. We didn't see much of the city of Alesund on the tour and were kind of dropped off with the option to get back on the bus to head to the cruise port.
We were a bit disappointed in the tour. The guide was very knowledgeable but clear she was somewhat overwhelmed speaking in three languages and keeping the group together. For example, she ran out of time when providing the history of the area and had to skip over that portion in English.

Very narrow and steep... - Very narrow and steep stairs in lighthouse. The guide was friendly, but we could not always hear him. Would be nice to have some shopping time included.
