Sintra’s natural landscape bestows this mystical location with a distinct beauty. Our visit will include the Palace of Pena, one of Portugal’s seven wonders and a true gem offered to the world. As a pinnacle of romantic architecture, it represents the realized dream of the artist king D. Fernando, with an interior that matches its exterior in beauty and opulence. We will explore the enchanting historic center of Sintra village and enjoy some free time to sample the region’s traditional sweets at the renowned “Piriquita” (travesseiro or queijada). The experience will be rounded off with a visit to Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point in Europe.
