10/10 tour! - It was a 10/10 tour, and I would recommend it to anybody! I learned so much, and it was wonderful to learn from a tour guide actually from Palenque. It was such an amazing experience, and I can't wait to go back.

Exceptional experience. - We love the tour. Kik(e) was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The transportation was easy and convenient, which made the tour possible for elderly family members. We would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Cartagena.

Great tour of Palenque - The Private tour through Palenque was an eye-opening experience. All the history behind Palenque, the community, and the importance that it represents for the whole continent is described perfectly by Danilo from PaleTur. This is a MUST if you go to Cartagena, because not only you will learn about black history from Colombia, but also how important Palenque is for the Black legacy in the whole world. Danilo is very insightful, knowledgable and a great host. He Is very open to any question, and presents to us the past, the present, and the future of Palenque. If you go to cartagena, you must go to Palenque and have a tour with Paletur. This is a culturally rich experience that is worth it!

AMAZING! - Everything about this experience was simply amazing! Victor was our tour guide. He picked us up from our Airbnb on time and even gave us a little lesson in his native language on our way to Palenque.
We were greeted with warm smiles from the natives and even got the chance to witness a tradition funeral as we arrived. Upon arrival, they gave us a coconut, bottle of water, an umbrella and a welcome shot of whiskey before starting the tour. The culture, the food and the people were nothing short of amazing. Victor provided us with a home cooked meal made by his cousin and it was flavorful and filling.
Pale Tur is family owned and operated, natives of Palenque and guided by Victor and his family themselves.. PLEASE DO THIS TOUR, you won't be disappointed.

Amazing Tour Guide! 🖤💙💚 - I am so thankful that I got to experience Palenque and learn about the history. The trip was a great price- it included a round-trip drive from my hotel in Cartagena, a private tour, and lunch. You have the opportunity to tip at houses along the way and buy handmade things at the end, so bring extra bills.

Palenque - To be black and proud ✊🏾 - Our tour guide was from Palenque so it felt as though we got a true Palenque experience. I really appreciated learning about the people, community, and just how they live /work together there. It was amazing.

First Free Town in America!! - Danilo and Pale tour were just great. I was already aware of the town to reach emancipation from slavery in the entire American continent. Danilo complemented my knowledge and gave me a fascinating tour. Totally recommended!!

Visiting Palenque - Danilo was our tour guide in Palenque. He was very professional and gave us a very good insight on the history and importance of this place as the very first town to be free from slavery in the Americas. We walked with him for about an hour and we had the opportunity to interact with people in the community and to learn about little Africa. Historically, it is an important place to visit. In you are interested in learning about other cultures, and the history of the freedom of slaves in America, Palenque is a place to visit.
