Pelenque!!!!! - Pleasant trip to the Pelenque community. Let me say firstly the best fish I've tasted not fried. Our your guide Sophia and Carlos great and knowledgeable about their culture. The experience is well worth it and will be returning for the food and to know more. Medicine man able to remedy any ailment with a shot of his home-medicine-made drink and anointing oil. Bless up

Powerful, Life-changing Experience - This was the most powerful aspect of my trip. Learning about the culture and language of Palenque was an experience that I never imagined. The hosts were very professional, friendly, and made me feel at home! I highly recommend this tour!

Must do - This excursion shows you just how rich in culture Colombia is. I knew I had to do it when I visited Colombia solo for my birthday and it did not disappoint. Victor did an amazing job at being our tour guide. He was informative, attentive, and overall a very nice individual. Book it! You won’t regret it.

A Must Do Historical experience in Cartagena - Victor was an amazing discussion facilitator for introducing and building on our group's knowledge about colonialism, the South American slave trade, and past/current cultural traditions. The day's events were very organized. We were given a plate of fresh fruit, a shot of Pelenque rum, and a lunch with four options: fish, chicken, pork chop, and vegetarian, all served with coconut rice and salad. We chose the chicken and fish, which were both delicious. We also enjoyed sugar cane, cassava pudding, and a sample tray of traditional candy, including various versions of coconut candy. This event is a must-do, especially if you are of African descent. Highly recommend exploring this incredible gem of history and culture!

A great tour! - Alex was amazing at creating a welcoming and informative environment about Afro Columbian culture past and present. Palenque was a beautiful and humble space with friendly people eager for you to learn their ways. The connection as a Black Caribbean person was palpable in the language, songs, dances, and art. The murals are amazing in town, and the restaurant we ate quite frankly had the best lemonade I have ever had. Don'Would book again!
