Great Experience! - Let me begin by saying I am 61 years of age and trekking is the least of my interests. But, how can one come to Sapa and not trek? Because it was Tet, Chinese New Year, no one else signed up so it ended up being a private adventure. Sang, my guide, picked me up at my hotel and we were on our way. Sang was very patient, caring and guided me the entire journey. We walked at my speed and pace. Sang is not only a tour guide but a farmer herself and represents of one of Sapa's ethnic groups. I learned so much about the culture, visited 2 villages, and ate with the locals. It was truly a wonderful experience.

I like learning the Hmong culture! - Sapa gets quite foggy during the winter, so I wasn’t able to enjoy a clear view of the rice fields. Unfortunately, that’s just how it is during the season, so I didn’t mind too much. My tour guide, May, was fantastic. Since it was the slow season, I was the only one in the group, but we had great conversations. She explained Hmong culture and village life clearly and took excellent care of me, ensuring I didn’t slip and guiding me on the right paths. I was impressed by her decent English, especially considering she never attended school and learned the language through conversations with tourists at work. She’s clearly very smart. One area for improvement would be the choice of route. I’d recommend selecting Muong Hoa village instead of the Cha Pa area, as there isn’t much to see near Cha Pa. In Muong Hoa, you can watch an elder lady sewing traditional clothing and enjoy a more expansive view of the rice fields, perfect for wide-angle photos.

Fantastic trek - The trek was really good despite the slight drizzle and mist. Sang was a great guide, providing lots of info on the way of life for the Hmong and other people groups. Most of the route was on paved paths (flat or with slight incline) but due to the rain, those were a bit muddy. One small section was more challenging and slippery due to the wet weather. The views were worth the efforts, and lunch was delicious too.

A lovely easy trek - My, the tour guide, was wonderful! She was so kind, well-spoken and informative. I learned soo much about local cultures, both the Hmong culture (where My is from) and other cultural groups in the region. The tour was interesting, easy walking, scenic views, and a delicious local lunch. It was run punctually and it felt like a good pace the whole way. I really enjoyed it and especially learning so much from My!

Brilliant tour - One of the best tours I have ever taken! I had May as my guide and she was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The trek is amazingly and the views are incredible at every turn. You don’t trek at a fast pace but at times going uphill it’s challenging. Wear hiking boots as at times it’s muddy and slippery and you need good footwear. The guides will help you though when you need it. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to be in the heart of Sapa’s rice fields. The lunch was great too!

The "Sapa Easy Trekking... - The "Sapa Easy Trekking Tour" is a great way to experience Sapa's beauty and culture. Our guide, Zhu, was fantastic! She shared insightful knowledge about the region's nature and traditions. The ~11km trek is manageable, mostly on paved roads with some scenic paths. Highlights include rice terraces, local villages, and a bamboo forest. A few slightly challenging downhill sections add some excitement. The tour ends in Ta Phin village, with a taxi ride back to Sapa. Highly recommended for a moderate trek with cultural immersion!
