Embark on a journey to witness the heritage of Tortola by traversing the Great Mountain Rd leading to a striking 460-foot mural located on Fahie Hill, adorned with vibrant artworks by various local talents. Every mural captures a glimpse of the island’s traditional lifestyle, from constructing terraces (‘banking’) for farming on precipitous slopes, harvesting sugarcane, to sharing spectral tales under the glow of a lantern. We’ll pause to properly appreciate these artistic creations. The exploration continues to J.R. O’Neal Botanic Gardens and one of the remaining Rum Distilleries in the British Virgin Islands. After which, you’ll get to relax at the renowned Cane Gardens Bay Beach for an hour. The finale of the trip is the Crafts Alive Village, where you can purchase Tortolian apparel and memorabilia as keepsakes.
