Relaxing Beach Day - Getting off the ship it was very easy to find our driver, who was showing us points of interest and made a couple of stops/slow downs to allow us to take some great photos on our way to the beach. The staff at the beach and bar were excellent and the food was very good. The beach was very nice and there were enough chairs and umbrellas for all. We had plenty of time to enjoy the water, take walks, and just relax.

Great experience - Great time at the beach. Lounger with an umbrella was provided and good bar food. One of our best island experiences.

Our driver took us to a... - Our driver took us to a perfect spot on Cane Garden Beach where we got chairs and umbrellas, drinks, food. Great swimming and snorkeling over a sunken barge was a plus!

Take this one! - A pleasant and all encompassing tour of Tortola followed by an excellent beach time. Our guide Anando(?) was gracious and thoughtful. He was careful to explain a lot of the trees and fruits we saw around because he noticed we were interested. I had never seen a cashew tree before. Our trip to the Arboretum who’s interesting. The island is a wash and plants, but the Arboretum has more carefully tended versions of plants not ordinarily seen in their environment. It was great to begin a small group of interesting people rather than a bus load .

Ride showed up on time.... - Ride showed up on time. Took us to the beach. About 6 people shared the ride and seating in vehicle was quite tight! Very hilly in Tortola but driver navigated road like a pro. Expected to pay something for beach loungers and umbrella but guy at beach said as long as we bought a few drinks or something to eat they were ours for the time there. Nice beach and water wasn’t too rough. Worth the trip.

Top beach - Cane garden bay beach - Great beach tour. Payne's taxi and tour company brought us to Cane Garden Bay beach and it took about 30 minutes. Nice long white powder sandy beach, no weeds on the beach and none in the water. No rocks or shells either. You can walk barefoot no watershoes required. 20$US for 2 chairs and umbrella and there are plenty. Drinks, food and rental equipment all there. Tour starts at the end of the pier so it can't be any closer. Less than half the price of cruiseship excursion and exact same results. I recommend and would book again if going to Tortola BVI.

Beach Trip - We had a great day and our driver Shampoo was brilliant,would definitely go on the same trip again and the tour was good

Would do again! - It is a little scary when you first start going up the mountain but I just didn’t look at the road and concentrated on the beautiful views once you got up to the top.

Same excursion as cruise ship, cheaper - This was a great excursion. The cruise line ran the same excursion for almost double the cost, and it was exactly the same. Love the beach, not crowded, good food, and drinks at the spot where they dropped us off.

Relaxing Day at Cane Garden Bay - This is not a private taxi to Cane Garden Bay, but there are only 8 people per taxi. There was only 1 ship in port the day we were there and Cane Garden Bay Beach, while popular, did not feel crowded at all. There were plenty of chairs to rent at the various restaurants along the beach. I think my party of 4 paid a total of $40 for 4 lounge chairs and 2 umbrellas. The drinks and food where we were were a little on the high side, but weren't too unreasonable. We stayed in front of Rhymers and there was a cute "grandma" ('cause she reminded me of my grandma) that would come around to take orders. Remember you are on island time, so if you want something quickly, you'll have to get up and go to the bar yourself and order. Buckets of beer were $25 for 6 Coronas. The water was still a little chilly for my taste, but it was a very relaxing day and a great way to spend the first port day of our very port intensive cruise.
