Delhi (arrival)

New Delhi - Arrive in Delhi by flight. Welcome to India’s capital and the second most populous city in the country. Delhi’s significance stems not only from its historical grandeur as the seat of empires and its magnificent monuments but also from its rich and diverse cultures. A private car with a driver will pick you up from Delhi Airport and transfer you to the hotel. Check in at the hotel and relax. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Delhi.

Amritsar - Delhi (by flight)

Amritsar - After an early breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Delhi Airport. Take your flight to Amritsar. Founded in 1577 by the fourth Sikh guru, Ram Das, Amritsar is home to Sikhism’s holiest shrine, the spectacular Golden Temple, one of India’s most serene and humbling sights. A private car will pick you up from Amritsar Airport and transfer you to the hotel. Check in at the hotel and relax. In the evening, enjoy a guided food tour. Amritsar is famous for its cuisine and mouth-watering street food. Later, visit the renowned Golden Temple in the evening, which looks stunning under the night lights. It is the holiest Gurdwara and the most important pilgrimage site of Sikhism. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Amritsar.

Amritsar (sightseeing)

Golden Temple - After breakfast, head out for a local sightseeing tour of Amritsar. Start with a second visit to the Golden Temple. After that, visit Jallianwala Bagh, historically known for the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. Then, embark on a guided Traditional Punjabi Village Tour, where you can observe the daily life of the local people. In the late afternoon, visit the Wagah Border, particularly known for the elaborate Wagah Border ceremony that takes place at the border gate between India and Pakistan, two hours before sunset each day. Return to the hotel in the evening. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Amritsar.

Amritsar - Delhi (by flight)

India Gate - After an early breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Amritsar Airport. Take your flight to Delhi. Arrive in Delhi by flight. Welcome to India’s capital and the second most populous city in the country. Delhi’s significance stems not only from its historical grandeur as the seat of empires and its magnificent monuments but also from its rich and diverse cultures. A private car with a driver will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to the hotel for check-in. After refreshing, head out for Delhi sightseeing. Drive past Rashtrapati Bhavan (the residence of the President of India) and visit India Gate, a memorial to 82,000 soldiers of the Indian Army who died between 1914 and 1921 during the First World War. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Delhi.

Delhi (sightseeing)

Humayun’s Tomb - After breakfast, head out for sightseeing. Stop at the UNESCO World Heritage site, Humayun’s Tomb. Built in 1570, it holds particular cultural significance as the first garden-tomb on the Indian subcontinent. Then, visit the magnificent Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India, built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan between 1644 and 1656. After that, explore the bustling Chandni Chowk, one of the oldest and busiest markets in Old Delhi. Enjoy a rickshaw ride at Chandni Chowk. Have lunch at a nice restaurant. Later, visit the towering Qutub Minar (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), a 73-meter (239.5 feet) tall tapering tower of five stories. Qutb ud Din Aibak, the founder of the Delhi Sultanate, built it around 1192 CE. Afterwards, visit Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, one of the most prominent Sikh temples in Delhi, known for its association with the eighth Sikh Guru, Guru Har Krishan. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Delhi.

Delhi - Agra

Agra Fort - After breakfast, check out from the hotel and head towards Agra. Arrive in Agra by afternoon. Welcome to the city of Wonder, home to the Taj Mahal, one of the seven wonders of the world. Pictures of the Taj Mahal do not do justice to its magnificence. It is an epitome and symbol of love. You must be here to truly appreciate its grandeur. Agra was once the historic capital of the Mughal empire. Have lunch at a nice restaurant. Check in at the hotel and freshen up. In the late afternoon, visit Agra Fort, a historical fort that served as the main residence of the Mughal emperors until 1638. Walking through the courtyards of this palatial red-sandstone and marble fortress, your amazement will grow as you learn about its history from the guide. In the evening, visit the local market to experience the true essence of Agra city. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Agra.

Agra - Jaipur

Pink City - Early in the morning, visit the majestic Taj Mahal (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) built by Shah Jahan in 1632 in memory of his queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains. After breakfast, check out from the hotel and head towards the Pink City - Jaipur. On the way, visit Chand Baori (Step Well), one of the oldest and most attractive stepwells in Rajasthan. Built during the 8th and 9th centuries, it has 3,500 narrow steps arranged in perfect symmetry, descending 20 meters to the bottom of the well. Arrive in Jaipur by afternoon. Check in at the hotel and relax. In the evening, enjoy a guided walk through the famous Pink City markets. Jaipur is known as a shopper’s paradise, with colorful markets offering a great opportunity to stop and shop during your tour. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Jaipur.

Jaipur (sightseeing)

Amber Palace - After breakfast, set out to explore the best attractions of Jaipur. Visit Hawa Mahal, a high screen wall built so the women of the royal household could observe street festivals while remaining unseen from the outside. Then, visit Jantar Mantar (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), a collection of nineteen architectural astronomical instruments built by the Rajput king Sawai Jai Singh and completed in 1738 CE. Afterwards, visit the City Palace, built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh between 1729 and 1732. The vast complex of the palace occupies one-seventh of the walled city. In the afternoon, stop by Jal Mahal, a palace in the middle of the Man Sagar Lake. Then, visit the grand Amer Fort (or Amber Fort), the principal tourist attraction in Jaipur, with the current structure built during the late 16th century by Rajput Kings. In the evening, visit Nahargarh Fort, which offers a beautiful bird’s eye view of the entire Jaipur city. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Jaipur.

Jaipur - Delhi (departure)

Custom Rajasthan tour - What a chance to meet bookindia to organize our 15 days trip to Rajasthan. We are usuals traveller in asian for 20 years, and it is the first time i organize my travel with a local operator. Boutindia realised a perfect set up. I had choice to choose and customise my trip, regarding the hotel or our backcountry activities. All the guides provided by Boutindia was really experimented.
