Known as one of the world’s oldest cities, Delhi’s significance is rooted not only in its historical role as the seat of empires and its stunning monuments but also in its rich and diverse cultures.
A private car with a driver will greet you at Delhi Airport and take you to your hotel for check-in. After refreshing, head out for a tour of Delhi. Drive past Rashtrapati Bhavan (the residence of the President of India) and visit India Gate (a memorial to 82,000 soldiers of the Indian Army who died between 1914–21 in the First World War). Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Delhi.

Delhi (sightseeing)

Then, visit the bustling Chandni Chowk – one of Old Delhi’s oldest and busiest markets. Enjoy a rickshaw ride at Chandni Chowk.
Have lunch at a nice restaurant. Later, visit the towering Qutub Minar (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), a 73-meter (239.5 feet) tall tapering tower of five stories. Welcome to the city of Wonder, home to the Taj Mahal – one of the seven wonders of the world. Pictures cannot fully capture the magnificence of the Taj Mahal, a symbol of love. You must see it to believe it. Agra was once the historic capital of the Mughal empire.
Have lunch at a nice restaurant. Check-in at the hotel and freshen up. In the late afternoon, visit Agra Fort, a historical fort that served as the main residence of the Mughal emperors until 1638. Once a private game reserve of the royal House of Jaipur, Ranthambore National Park and Tiger Reserve is one of the world’s best-known wilderness areas. Visit Hawa Mahal, a high screen wall built so the women of the royal household could observe street festivals while remaining unseen. Then, visit Jantar Mantar (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), a collection of nineteen architectural astronomical instruments built by the Rajput king Sawai Jai Singh, completed in 1738 CE. Jaipur – Jodhpur

Jodhpur - After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Jodhpur, the second-largest city in Rajasthan. It is reminiscent of a bygone era and is called the “Blue City” because of its vividly painted blue walls and houses. The mighty Mehrangarh fort overlooking the city is an architectural masterpiece and one of Rajasthan’s largest forts. Jaswant Thada and Umaid Bhawan Palace are also top attractions in Jodhpur. Due to its proximity to the Thar Desert, it is also known as the “Gateway to Thar”.

Mehrangarh Fort - After breakfast, explore Jodhpur. Visit the majestic Mehrangarh Fort, set regally on a sandstone hill, built by Rao Jodha in 1459. Rising perpendicular and impregnable from a rocky hill, it stands 120m above Jodhpur’s skyline.
Next, visit Jaswant Thada – a milky-white marble memorial to Maharaja Jaswant Singh II, sitting above a small lake 1 km northeast of Mehrangarh. It serves as the cremation ground for the royal family of Marwar and is built from intricately carved sheets of marble.
In the afternoon, visit the lavish Umaid Bhawan Palace, a marvel built by Maharaja Umaid Singh of the Rathore Dynasty. It was the last royal palace built before India’s Independence, with foundations laid in 1929 and completed in 1943. Today, it is part palace, part hotel, and part museum.
In the evening, visit the local market. Later, return to the hotel. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Jodhpur.

On the way, visit the Ranakpur Jain Temple, one of the most significant and extensive Jain temple complexes in the country. It holds immense importance for Jains and is spread over 4,500 square yards, consisting of 29 halls. Recent trip to India in April with Bout India - Our group of 5 30-year olds went on a 15 day private tour around the golden triangle and Rajasthan and had such an amazing experience with Bout India! We would definitely recommend this tour company for anyone consider going to India on a tour. Everything was very organised, and when we had some difficulties with items left at hotels or getting our VISA organised they were very helpful! Communication: From beginning to organise our tour we had fantastic open communication with the Bout India team and getting us prepared for our trip. They were very accomodating to any adjustments or specific requests we had asked for! When you arrive in India they are also very easy to communicate with using What’s App and providing specific itineraries for each day. We also got to meet the team that we organised the tour with (Akansha) which made a really personalised touch. She was a gem to communicate with. Driver: We also had an AMAZING driver (Surjeet) who drove us around for the entire trip, was really friendly and he really became our trip ‘father’. We were so appreciative of his skills in driving and navigating India! The van was also always stocked with cold water, and lovely and cool in the hotter weather which was a bonus! Tour guides: Bout India also organised a private tour guide for each of the main cities that we visited that provided some really informative historical, cultural background about the places! All of them were amazing! Hotels The hotels we stayed at were fantastic! They were all clean, had decent breakfasts and services. One of our favourites was the Maiden Hotel in Delhi, but we also loved the Bal Samand Lake Palace hotel in Jodhpur which had a huge property to walk around! Experiences: Bout India and the tour guides also organised some really great curated experiences along the journey. There was a nice mix of palaces, forts, temples, historical sites, shops, food. Food The food in India is amazing! There’s so much to try that I can’t really make a list (but our standouts were Samosas, Raj kachori and Soya Chaap Rolls). There were a number of great restaurants and street vendors to dine at in India. Our favourite meals and chais were ones based on local tour guides inside knowledge and some straight forward googling. There are lots of places with western/Indian foods but just be open about what you want to eat! We had some of our best meals in our spare time after tours exploring food markets and safe street foods. Suggestions: Our main suggestion is to be really open about what sorts of food places you want to visit, as we went to some of our favourite places based on discussion with our guides around ‘authentic/safe street food places’ and shops. There were some really amazing shops we were taken to by our guides. These provided some great opportunities to see how local industries are run, and things like textiles and gems are made! Just don’t feel like you need to buy something, and be up front with the shop staff! A long review but just wanted to share how great our experience was!

Excellent - We had a great experience with Bout India. We wanted to stay in hotels with breakfast included, a driver for the whole trip and local guides for the various locations we requested to visit. Our customized private tour was then organized by Bout India to perfection from our personal driver to our accommodations and personal tour guides. We cannot thank Pinky Rai from Bout India enough for arranging our unbelievable tour of India and our personal driver Mr Sitaram for always greeting us with a smile and being on time, He was also instrumental in coordinating with the various local guides to make our trip enjoyable. He is also what I consider to be the best driver in India. We are definitely going to visit again soon. We being Americans, I highly recommend a tour of India be organized with Bout India as they can customize it to your specific interests and needs. Joe Timme

Bout India tours are exceptional - We booked a custom 28 day trip through out India with Bout India. It was a wonderful trip! Great guides and drivers, wonderful hotels and restaurants! We were met at each airport by our guide and driven door to door to our destinations and hotels. We focused on UNESCO world heritage sites. One of our guides told us that we have seen more Hindu Temples than 99% of Hindu’s. I. Would strongly recommend Bout India especially if you want a custom trip organized to meet your needs.
