Delightful day of adventure - We loved our guide Oto and our driver Luis so much! The tour really hit some incredible highlights. The Mayan ruins of Tulum are very interesting. You will get a separate guide for that portion, so be sure to bring tip money. I’m not sure how much actual history we learned, but it was nice to be shown around a couple of the features. The cenote was *incredible*. We felt like we entered the Mayan underworld. Best experienced in an extremely small group. Not good for small children. Turtle sanctuary was amazing as well. We got lucky and saw about 10 turtles! You’ll see more if you are a strong swimmer and in a small, nimble group. What a lot of adventure in one day!

Amazing experience with Oscar! - I went out as a small group of four people on this tour with Oscar. He was fantastic sharing details of each of the excursions and gave us a once in a lifetime tour. I can't recommend this tour (especially if you are lucky enough to get Oscar!) enough. They also timed everything perfectly so as to beat the crowds. It was a perfect day.

Tour review - First part was interesting, the ruins are less interesting in Tulum than in other sites but we got alot of information about the history of Tulum. The cenote cave was different from other cenotes in which I've been in a sense that you don't just bath in it but also swim throw and see the tunnels underground. The snorkling was very spacial since I've never done it and seeing the see turtles was really fun, wish the water were clearer.

Worth it! - Overall, loved it, definitely worth the money (think of it as an investment in your core memories)! Shortly after payment, received confirmation email and WhatsApp message with instructions. Our guide was Jar, who is absolutely lovely and excellent at her job! Excellent air conditioned van with safe personal driver (I'm sorry, I don't remember his name!). We were dropped off at Tulum first thing before the huge tour groups arrived and Jorge was our guide, who is a real Mayan descendant! After our ruins tour we headed out to the cenote and Jar was very clear on the plan and instructions (i.e. no outside cameras). She really made the cenote experience given that she is a biologist! We had the entire cave to ourselves, which was very special and an experience I can't quite relay how amazing it was... imagine an empty cenote where you turn off the light and it's pitch black with just the sound of bats and dripping water!! Way better than an over crowded experience with loud and obnoxious strangers talking/screaming or disrupting the bats with lights everywhere. We bought the offered photos from the locals, which was a crazy deal ($30 usd for probably 60 photos). Next was the turtles, where we had a great local guide in addition to Jar's expertise, and they pointed out TONS of marine life that I would have just glided over. I also really appreciated that they both guided us away from the crowds and were able to find turtles, squid, and fish for us! Even went out to the coral reef. Close to the shore, people cannot figure out how to keep their feet up and made the water incredibly murky, so we appreciated getting us away from that chaos. If you can swing it financially, this private tour is 100% the way to go!

Wonderful views and memories! - The experience was amazing! Our tour guide, Nancy, took great care of us, was funny, and we had a wonderful time. We would totally do it again. Note, you'll swim with more than just turtles. We saw a stingray, several species of fish, a coral reef, and a barracuda.

Fantastic Private tour of Tulum ruins, snorkeling with Turtles and Cenote - Our tour was absolutely wonderful for our family of 5, (my husband, 3 kids aged 21, 18, 17 and myself) and a big part of that was due to the exceptional service provided by our driver, Armando, and our tour guide, Karel. They were incredibly educational, efficient, and informative, always going above and beyond to make us feel safe and comfortable. Their planning was impeccable—they designed our routes to avoid crowds and ensured we had fresh, cold water waiting for us after every stop. Their patience and attentiveness made the entire experience seamless and enjoyable. We began the day exploring the breathtaking Mayan ruins, guided by a local expert who was deeply knowledgeable about the history and culture of the Mayan civilization. Walking through the site at our own pace, we learned so much while enjoying the serene beauty of the ruins without the usual crowds, thanks to the early start. From there, we moved on to an unforgettable snorkeling adventure where we saw turtles, baby turtles, stingrays, and even pufferfish. Although I don’t know how to swim, Karel and our guide made me feel completely at ease, acting as my “water Uber” and ensuring I didn’t miss out. I highly recommend paying for the GoPro photo package—the diver captured incredible close-up shots of the marine life so we could focus on the experience. The next stop was a stunning cenote; the stalagmites and rock formations were breathtaking, and Karel shared fascinating facts and anecdotes about the cenotes, making it an educational and magical experience. We had plenty of time to explore and truly appreciate the natural beauty around us. To end the day, we enjoyed an amazing lunch of traditional Mayan cuisine, featuring tacos, taquitos, rice and beans, fresh fruit, salad, rice pudding, and refreshing drinks like agua fresca and horchata. This tour was perfectly organized, and the combination of stunning sights, outstanding guides, and thoughtful details made it an unforgettable experience. Huge thanks to Armando and Karel for making it so special. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Tulum!
