Advised - It was a nice experience, we left from the port of Peschici and from San Nicola we did the tour of the islands, which took us back to San Domino, there is a small beach there, we rented a sunbed and umbrella at a cost of 30 euros and in the in the afternoon we took the larger boat back to Peschici. Definitely not practical for very young children. I recommend doing the island tour first and then stopping on the beach. Unfortunately, there is little time to spend on the beach.

Disappointing - Given that the islands themselves are very beautiful (as are practically all the islands of our beautiful peninsula) the trip was well below expectations. The first thing to consider DA is that the journey alone takes about 1 hour and 40 minutes. Obviously the thing is known but in hindsight you realize that well over 3 hours were spent just for the round trip from the islands. Unfortunately the most disappointing part was the stay on the islands themselves. The boat stops at San Nicola where there is nothing but a small marina and the abbey. Unless you have the opportunity to move immediately to the island of San Domino (but we were told that we could not do it before 12:15!) all that remains is a visit to the Abbey. One of the places with enormous historical and tourist potential and worst kept I have ever seen or frequented. Ruins everywhere, works in progress and works never finished in every corner, signs with due illegible historical descriptions. In short, DA tourist and lover of art and history of our country I found it all embarrassing to say the least. Once on the island of San Domino we made the planned tour of the islands. It lasts just over 1 hour. DA a landscape point of view the ride is nice but nothing big. During the tour you stop for 10 minutes at the point where there is the statue of Padre Pio. As you DA expect it is a rather crowded spot and you have just time for a dip and then you have to get back on the boat quickly. On the way back (about 3 hours before the departure for Peschici) the boat stops near a pretty but very small beach. So the choice is to return to the island of St. Nicholas (where as mentioned above there is practically nothing) or stay on the beach. It would also be nice if it weren't for the fact that 95% of the beach is occupied DA umbrellas and there are literally 10 square meters of beach left for a few hundred people who don't want to pay (probably not cheap) for 2 hours on the beach. For you stay 2-3 hours in the scorching sun without a minimum of shade until about 18. Probably the best choice is to reach the island by ferry but then rent one of the many small boats and tour the island independently.

Service and welcome to customers to review - Ferry of 25/8/24 departure scheduled at 8.50, invite us to go to the fishing port at 8.20. We arrive me, my husband and our three children, under the sun and we wait for the boat... the Adriatic Princess, until 9.20. Nobody from the company warned us at port about the delay, let alone apologized on board. We go up and we find people who occupied seats with a table of 6, in 2 as lying down to sleep. None of the crew did anything to facilitate the rearrangement of seats. We find a bench covered, where there were barely 4 of us, near the "emergenxa" door and a guy from the company offers us a plastic chair to be more comfortable. Much appreciated the gesture, a little less the rudeness of both the passengers, who already boarding, crushed my children, by the hand with me (6, 5 and 3 years) and the little attention of the crew for these things. Arrived in Domino, unloaded and queued under the sun waiting for another boat completely open, on which strollers and dogs were taken. And people crammed and piled on benches. Tour of the islands, done in virca 1 hour, with captain who spoke without microphone and who made us dive into the area of the statue of Padre Pio, stopping maybe 10 minutes. I would say that for 25 euros per person adults and 12.50 reduced (only for round tremors) I expected much more. For the fishing / trembling boat route quite cozy, but again inordinate price and bad service.

Ferry cancelled due to power failure - It would definitely have been great if the ferry hadn't had a power outage and the tour had to be cancelled.
