- CRUISE SHIP PASSENGERS: If you are arriving in Waitangi Wharf, the cruiseship provides FREE shuttle buses for cruise ship guests to transfer you into Paihia (5 minute bus ride)
- The bus will drop you off outside the Paihia Wharf. Check-in at PIER 10
- Suitable for families, couples and solo travellers
- Suitable for all ages
- Please bring a swimsuit & towel, and appropriate clothing for the day
- Please bring lunch& drink for the day
- Minimum numbers apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund
- No-show will forfeit 100% of the ticket cost
- Cruise-ship guests need to insure their travel insurance covers them in the unlikely event that the cruise-ship does not stop in port, as we are unable to refund in these situations.

It's worth every cent a stunning day! - What a fantastic day on the water and island hopping. AWESOME!
We joined this tour in the off-season, which is winter, colder temperatures, and increased potential for rain. The positives (for us) were there were not so many passengers on the boat, which meant plenty of space and easy to swap side for different views whenever you wanted.
The weather was a bit of a mix. It may have dampened out coats, but not our adventure.
Scenery was stunning and supported by fun facts in the commentary provided by our guide and skipper.
Highly recommended well worth every cent! Thank you, Hamish and Tisha. What a great day!

Worthwhile doing especially if the weather is great! - It was a beautiful trip, make sure you try and book on a sunny day so the colours of the bays are at their best. There was quite a decent cafe on the island with optional lunch items for sale. You have about an hour to explore the tracks on the island, and walk through hilly green fields of sheep. The hole in the rock is more impressive than it looks in the photos, and the driving skills of the boat captain are quite impressive. Hi commentary throughout the tour was excellent!

Well worth it! - Fantastic crew and wonderful experience. We had amazing sunny calm weather so that added tremendously to the whole experience. We saw penguins, seals, eagle ray, and even a turtle! It was awesome going through the hole in the rock and the views from Roberton Island lookout and the cafe at Uretiti were another highlight.

Loved it! - We loved it! Tish and Hamish made our half day tour a fantastic experience! They provided interesting historical commentary and pointed out lots of wildlife including some blue penguins, birds, fish, and seals. Highly recommend this company for a small group tour!

Wonderful experience! - Even though it was a winter day, I had an amazing time during my Island Getaway tour! The crew was so friendly and professional, providing interesting commentary and good humor throughout our ride. The scenery was absolutely gorgeous and riding through the Hole in the Rock was a thrill. We saw a range of wildlife including penguins, seals, rays and shags. I was able to hike up to a stunning lookout on Robertson Island and relax with wine at Otehei Bay. The day truly exceeded my expectations and I wholeheartedly recommend it!

Awesome cruise in The Bay of Islands - Got a phone call 2 days before out booking advising that there was a time change. They offered a full refund if we weren’t able to make the earlier time slot. So glad we were able to make the new time! What an awesome cruise. We were amazed by Little Penguins, dolphins, schools of fish and seals on our way out to the Hole in the Rock. Apparently this not always the case so we feel very blessed. Then to top it off the weather and water conditions were right to go through the hole. Friendly, knowledgeable, fun-loving and caring staff made the trip extremely enjoyable. The smaller numbers meant everyone got to see.

Bay of Islands spectacular - We had the best time with beautiful weather and an amazing surprise of penguins, seals and even a small shark breaching.
The stunning blue/green water was the best I have ever seen.
The crew were so friendly and knowledgeable.

Super fun trip - Enjoyed this trip out on the water and the activities provided. We were in a boat that held approx 15-20 people. There were a good variety of activities from walking to a scenic lookout, watching wildlife, a bit of history and culture and paddleboarding/snorkeling at another stop. Traveled with teens who had a great time too. Recommend Island Getaway Tours.
