As you pass some of South Africa’s most well-known townships, there will be discussions about the daily lives of the local residents. These townships are also the birthplace of local artists. The next stop is the town of Stellenbosch, the second oldest town in the country, famous for its oak-lined streets. Church Street, in particular, boasts some of the oldest architecture in the Southern Hemisphere. Strolling down these streets evokes a nostalgic feeling of the early days.
Then, it’s time for wine tasting. The first stop is Marianne, where red wine is paired with dried meat, known locally as ‘Biltong’. The final stop is Fairview, where wine is paired with cheese. -
