• Canal Walk Shopping Centre - This is the largest shopping center in the city, designed in what developers describe as “Cape Venetian architecture.” The center features over 400 stores, 7,000 parking spaces, and a variety of restaurants. It ranks as the third largest shopping center in the country.
• Paarl - The name Paarl translates to ‘Pearl’ in Afrikaans. With a population of around 300,000, this town is celebrated for its picturesque setting, viticulture, and fruit-growing legacy. It is the largest town in the Cape Winelands district.

Paarl gained international recognition on 11 February 1990, when Nelson Mandela, with live global television coverage, walked out of Victor Verster Correctional Centre (now known as Drakenstein Correctional Centre) in Paarl, marking the end of his 27-year imprisonment and the beginning of South Africa’s post-apartheid era and multi-racial elections. Mandela spent three years in this prison, residing in a private house within its walls. Today, a bronze statue of Mandela stands outside the prison.

• Huguenot Tunnel - The Huguenot Tunnel offers a safer, faster, and shorter route compared to the old Du Toitskloof Pass over the mountain. The concept of a tunnel through the Du Toitskloof Mountains was first proposed in the 1930s but was delayed due to World War II. This idea evolved into the Du Toitskloof Pass, constructed with the labor of Italian prisoners of war from 1942 to 1945, and completed with regular labor by 1948. The tunnel is approximately 4 kilometers long, making it the longest in the country. A tollgate is present for passage through the tunnel, one of two tollgates in the Western Province.
• Touws River - Upon arrival at Aquila Private Game Reserve, guests will complete an indemnity form at the gate. Following this, a welcome drink and buffet breakfast will be provided. Guests will then embark on a 2 to 3-hour safari. After returning from the safari, a buffet lunch will be served. Please note that all soft drinks and wine are at the guest’s own expense.
