You can learn not only about making Japanese sweets but also about seasonal events and culture in Japan! - My American friend's first visit to Japan, the best Japanese sweets making experience! Learn in English for peace of mind. Don't worry if you're not good at anko!︎ Japanese sweets are art, so you can enjoy just making them. It would be even better if you could eat it! The dumplings were tender and the nerikiri was beautiful and very delicious. It was a valuable experience to learn about the seasonal events and culture of Japan.

Very nice way to learn how to make mochi! - This class was excellent! Satoko explained the Japanese culture related to sweets and the tea ceremony in a very accessible and fun way. Making the daifuku and dango went very well, and I am now confident to try to make some at home. The Nerikiri looked so beautiful that I expected it would be difficult to make , but with the prepared dough, special tools and careful explanation from Satoko it also went wel and came out beautiful. Wrapping it up with a beautiful bowl of green tea was a perfect way to end this very enjoyable educational and cultural exchange. I look forward to try and make friends and family at home happy with some hand-made mochi!

Do this!! You'll appreciate the quiet after the chaos of Tokyo! - One of our favorite experiences in all of Japan! After the bustle of Tokyo and Osaka, having a quiet afternoon learning the history of mochi and negiri and putting hands in dough was so nice and relaxing! Satoko was a joy! And we are so glad we got the pleasure of Marina assisting! Very knowledgeable and engaging! This is something we will definitely bring home to make for our family and friends! Beautiful and delicious!

A wonderful experience! - My fiancée and I attended this class during our trip to Japan and had such a lovely time! We appreciated how Satoko did such an amazing job clearly explaining not only how to make the sweets, but also how their history and symbolism are rooted in Japanese culture. We attended this class with one other person, and despite our fumbling she was incredibly patient with us. She even took pictures during the class and sent them to us after the fact! The sweets themselves were very tasty, especially the ichigo daifuku. I highly recommend this class with Satoko to anyone who would like to learn about sweets and sweets making with a knowledgeable teacher!

Wonderful and delicious experience! - I had an incredible experience in this mochi and nerikiri-making class! Our teacher, Satoko, was very kind and knowledgeable. The class was a good mix of learning not only about the cooking methods themselves, but also about the history of mochi and the culture behind these delicious sweets. I booked a single spot and was pleasantly surprised to join two other people - it's fun to join a group when solo-traveling. You also get to enjoy eating your mouth-watering creations with a bowl of matcha to balance the sweetness. I highly recommend this class!

Joyful Japanese Dessert Lesson - Me and my wife had an amazing time experiencing local cultural Japanese desert. The lessons for were all prepared and explained clearly. We got instructs for each step and teaching was always cautiously observing and assisting. History behind the desert was very interesting. What I liked the most was that each lesson has a full recipe and well written instructions, as well as where to get needed tools

Cheryl Berry- Smith from the USA - I would like to express that the Mochi, Nerikiri, and Matcha class was exceptionally impressive. The instructor, Sakura, demonstrated a high level of professionalism. She was not only courteous and welcoming but also exhibited remarkable patience throughout the session. Sakura, gave us an awesome history of mochi. We were able to interact during her presentation as well and fully appreciate the history of mochi. Then came the exciting part, making mochi sweets and enjoying a cup of matcha. If you are in Tokyo or the surrounding areas, this is a must, you will not be disappointed. Thank you, Sakura, for an amazing experience. Love, Cheyl
