Fascinating Exploration of a Rich Tradition and its Links to NOLA's Past and Present - This highly informative tour packed in a ton of fascinating information with very little actual walking, but much to see. Our fast-talking guide, Eshé, managed to dispel many popular misconceptions about Voodoo, while introducing us to some of its practices, some rich New Orleans history, and some of the ways many cultures in the city have interacted over the centuries. Eshé created a warm and welcoming environment for all questions and participants in spite of the wickedly cold weather. My 18 and 21 year old kids were as captivated by the tour as my husband and I were. If you like history, culture, spirituality, nature, or pop culture portrayals of Voodoo and NOLA, I highly recommend this tour!

Great! - Malika was great! She’s full of stories and facts. Very friendly and let us join without reservation after she had already started the tour. Only thing I would like to say is that she could talk a little slower for us foreigners to understand everything, but we told her that in person.

Great info - Absolutely enjoyed this experience. I learned so much and realized how Hollywood has completely misrepresented Vodue. Loved the history behind this and realizing the current existence.

Above and beyond amazing. - Our guide was amazing. Stayed as long as she had to to answer every last question and we left feeling that we had taken a brief yet through intro course. We are so grateful.

Illuminating experience - I wasn't 100% sure about going on this tour, but thought maybe it would give me an interesting perspective on New Orleans' history. It certainly did! It wasn't at all hoky, and provided a really fascinating look at New Orleans told by a black person from their point of view. It was the most enriching thing we did on our trip and we are so glad we did. It bears no relation to the commercial, touristy version of Voo Doo that's presented on Bourbon St.
