Amazing Walk & History - The historical walk was lovely. The guide was amazing, knowledgeable and very easy to hear and follow. She walked us around everything, looked after our safety as we gawked at the houses, and gave us great instruction/introduction. We had about 10 people on our tour. It ran the correct amount of time, the fee was nominal for what I experienced, and it was an amazing experience all around. Be sure to look where you're walking because New Orleans has lots of roots under the sidewalks.

Great Garden District Tour - Touring the area with a knowledgeable guide makes for a rich experience. You learn about the architectural styles, history of the homes and anecdotes that you wouldn't find on your own. We chose this tour because it takes you inside one of the mansions--The Women's Opera Guild Home. PS--tour guide Eva was terrific!

A very colorful introduction to the homes in the garden district. - The walking tour was conducted by an excellent tour guide. In fact, she was a "walking encyclopedia." She was obviously so well versed in her knowledge of the area. My only complaint would be this--she talked a little too fast. I know she did that, as she had a lot of ground to cover. In sum, it was a very good experience, except for the sidewalks--they were very rough.

Best to hear it from a local - Erin was by far the best tour guide we could have hoped for. Her familiarity with the Garden District is rooted in her personal history as a native of New Orleans which provided an extra layer of authenticity and depth to our tour. We all learned so much from her knowledge of the history and place. She packed a lot of information into every story she told. We were so glad we went on this tour instead of just walking around and looking at the houses on our own.

Nice - While in NOLA we came here to walk the neighborhood and check out the houses. There are several streets and blocks to check out with some really nice houses mixed throughout, but not consistent. So, you might have to walk past a few smaller houses which aren’t worth checking out to get to a big, beautiful, well-maintained mansion. But when you get to them, they’re amazing and picture-worthy! It’s a nice way to walk and see the city. You can plan your trip to start from the street car stop on St Charles and end at Magazine St where you can have lunch at Joey K’s – which was great!
