Masai Mara Full Day Game Drives
Masai Mara National Reserve - After breakfast, head into the reserve with a picnic lunch box to enjoy during the day. Spend the entire day on an exhilarating game drive. Masai Mara boasts breathtaking landscapes and abundant wildlife, and it is perhaps the only place in Kenya where visitors can witness animals in the same great numbers as they did a century ago. The afternoon is dedicated to searching for the black-maned lion. You might witness a lion kill in the late afternoon or see a leopard in a tree enjoying its meal, safely out of reach. The reserve features hilly savannahs, rolling grasslands, and a forest gallery along the Mara River and its tributaries. Experience the vast wilderness, fresh natural scenery, and exotic wildlife during expertly guided game drives. In the evening, return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.
Lake Nakuru National Park
Lake Nakuru - After breakfast, depart from the Mara region and head towards Nakuru, stopping for lunch along the way. The journey offers scenic views of Mt. Longmont and Lake Naivasha in the distance along the main highway. Dinner and accommodation will be at a budget hotel with self-contained rooms.
Lake Naivasha
Lake Naivasha - Enjoy a traditional African breakfast at the hotel with fellow travelers before checking out. Drive to Lake Nakuru National Park and complete the registration process. Dive into the excitement of the Kenya Safari experience, starting with birdwatching at the lake. Continue to the Rhinoceros sanctuary, which focuses on conserving both white and black rhinos. While exploring Lake Nakuru National Park, you can spot a variety of native Kenyan wildlife, excluding elephants and cheetahs. Look out for lions, zebras, giraffes, impalas, antelopes, waterbucks, buffalos, leopards, and other fascinating creatures. At 11:00 am, exit Lake Nakuru National Park and proceed to Naivasha, arriving at your pre-booked budget hotel in time for lunch. The evening is free for leisure, with the option to enjoy an additional activity like a boat ride.
Lake Naivasha National Park - Hell’s Gate National Park - Nairobi
Hell’s Gate National Park - After an early breakfast, take a short drive to Hell’s Gate National Park for a guided walking tour. Situated in the Naivasha area, this is one of the country’s lowland parks that you can explore on foot. The towering cliffs and Hell’s Gate Gorge are breathtaking. The park is home to various birds and animals, including zebras, baboons, Thomson’s gazelles, antelopes, cheetahs, and leopards. Another highlight is the 25-meter-high Fischer’s Tower, a volcanic rock formation.
The Olkaria Geothermal Power Station, utilizing one of the world’s hottest energy sources, is also a remarkable sight with steam plumes rising into the air. Later in the afternoon, drive to Nairobi, arriving around 4:00 pm. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at your city hotel or the airport.
