History by day, Creepy by night - I live in Charleston and had heard over the last couple of years that this was a great tour. With family in town for a visit, I figured this was the perfect time to check it out. It would be a new experience for everyone. And it was phenomenal! We got lucky, both with our group and our tour guide. The group was just us and no one else! 😁 even better, our guide Braden, was fantastic. Being on that ship by yourselves at night is creepy enough. Add in the history and stories, it becomes almost to surreal experience. It's dark, it's beyond claustrophobic, we came out stinking like sweat and decades-old diesel fumes. And we couldn't have been happier with the tour! If you're looking for a haunted tour that's not the standard old buildings and graveyards ( those are definitely worth checking out) this is it! If you're a ghost hunting enthusiast or just want to dig into some more modern haunted history, this tour is worth every penny.

Great tour! Big and small details and all the spooky stuff too. - My wife and I took this tour after having done a self guided tour several years ago, and this tour was so much better! Braxton did a great job telling the history of the ship as well as the living conditions for the sailors during WWII. But he was also able to weave in stories of individual sailors and some of the odd happenings on the ship. We both highly recommend it to anyone looking for a deeper dive.

Amazing Tour - My son and I went on this tour and Bruce Orr was our tour guide. He is a retired homicide detective and just an amazing guy! He gave us the history of the USS Yorktown which is so rich and interesting. Bruce is a true patriot. We loved him! He mixed the history of haunting on the ship which just put the cherry on top for our experience. I highly recommend this tour and if you get Bruce you are in for a great experience!

Tour of the Yorktown Carrier is a must experience - This was our first experience of touring a carrier. It was a great experience and the volunteers were always available to answer questions. The elevator was a great asset to allow us to access a couple of the different levels. Well worth the experience.

Good but extremely hot tour - This was a great tour and Ken, our tour guide was very informative. The only downfall was that there was only one room with air conditioning so it was extremely hot. I think the location needs to install air conditioning throughout the ship or in more rooms.
