Amazing experience w/Bulldog Tours! - We had so much fun doing the Bulldog Tours Ghost and Dungeon Tour. I have been visiting Charleston since infancy, and yet I have never done a ghost tour. Finally decided to do one at age 30! This was an amazing first experience and our guide, Nick, was incredible! The walking pace and distance wasn’t bad either. As someone with arthritis, this tour was easy for me to do. Additionally, we took our 3 nieces, all 12 and under, and it was appropriate for them as well and not scary. They also enjoyed their first ghost tour.

Charleston history as experienced after dark - An entertaining opportunity to hear Charleston history in unusual settings with unusual ambience. The walking tour began at dusk and ended in a (haunted?) cemetery in the dark of night. A learning experience and a lot of fun even for one who is not superstitious!

Our experience - Not what I expected. I thought it would be just inside a dungeon. We had to walk a lot and it was hot. The stories weren’t that creepy it was more to do with history. The guide was really sweet and nice though.

Don’t say I didn’t warn you!!!! - Review is related to Ghost tours - You will make about 4-5 stops total during the entire 1.5 hour tour and listen to the guide churn out some folklore about the city that may or may not be related to where you are standing. Hopefully you can drown out the blaring music or horns coming from the passing cars/golf carts as well as the 999 other horse and carriage or walking tours that will be going on right next to you. The scariest part is not knowing how long the story goes on before it ends. The second scariest part is not knowing how many mosquitoes you will need to kill throughout the tour. In summary, the guide was friendly, the intentions were great, the result was just unfortunately lackluster and anticlimactic. Save your time and money on this event.

Just Horrible - Don't waste your Money - I will start the review by letting you know that I am arthritic and have bad knees. But I had taken a couple other walking tours in Charleston. These tours covered similar area with the same time of an hour and a half. I had no problems with these other tours I was able to navigate just fine (see my alleyway review). This tour did not have any complicated stairs or cobblestone path that other such tours haven't had. So while my arthritis may have played a part in this, it is not why I was not able to navigate the tour. Also note , in my group we're my 13 and 14 year old grandchildren who had already taken the alley tour earlier that day...a history tour, that had them Very excited for a ghost tour. We met up with our tour guide at Bulldog tours and walked 10 miutes at a VERY VERY VERY brisk walk with no break, no communication with the tour guide and no stories along the way. Once there we sat in the dungeon which in essence is two rooms with mannequins dressed up like pirates and historic political figures for 20 minute and This was the absolute best part of the tour. After the dungeon, we continued the break neck pace to another spot. At the next stop even my grandchildren were fed up and begged me to just go home. But I made them continue. Two more spots and a total of 4 stories and the tour was over, Thank goodness. Absolutely not worth it AT ALL. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME .. DON'T DO IT. I WISH I COULD GET A REFUND SERIOUSLY!!!! Ideas for management to fix it: if you have to be at the dungeon at a certain time meet at the dungeon. Or schedule the dungeon in a way that the tour guide can take a leisurely stroll and tell stories along the way. Most people are not looking to run a marathon. 4 stories and a speed walk does not a walking tour make. Hated it seriously hated it
