Beautiful visit - A treasure chest of art and beauty in the center of Milan, less visited than other museums and yet equally worthy. It already applies only to Leonardo's Codex Atlanticus. Visit that takes a minimum of 1.30 hours, including the extraordinary underground church.

Studying 15th Century Italian Art With Pleasure At The Ambrosiana - In November of 2024,I spent a productive day assiduously studying the Ambrosiana's splendid collection of Italian Paintings from the 15th,16th,and 17th Centuries.Since their collection of Italian Paintings is quite extensive,I have devoted this review to its 15th Century Paintings.15th Century Renaissance Period Italian Painters with stellar paintings included; Leonardo Da Vinci("Portrait of Musician"),Bernardino Luini("Holy Family With Saint Anne and John The Baptist")("Christ Child With Lamb"),Bramantino("Nativity"),Marco D'Oggiono("Madonna and Christ Child With Saints John Baptist and Evangelist"),Sandro Botticelli("Madonna and Child With 3 Angels"),Titian("Adoration of Magi"),Fra Carnevale("Saint Francis")Bonifaco Veronese("Holy Family with Saint John Baptist,Tobias, and Archangel Raphael":),and Marco Basaiti("Christ Resurrected").I spent five and a half hours savoring wonderful Italian Art and fine paintings by Flemish Master,Paul Bril.Furthermore,I appreciated the intimate atmosphere of the Ambrosiana.

Inspiring cultural break from the Duomo crowds - Definitely worth a visit. The place is not too crowded during weekends, so it is a good cultural break from a bath in the masses at Duomo. The draft of the School of Athens by Rafael is a must see, amazing how well planned this painting was and how many curious changes he made to the final version in the end.

Important museum in the center - Nice museum, a stone's throw from the Duomo. Among the most important works is Caravaggio's Basket of Fruit, Raphael's preparatory cartoons of the School of Athens, but also Leonardo's only remaining painting in Milan, the Portrait of a Musician. In the last room are exhibited some extracts (in rotation) of the Atlantic Codex.

Lots of 'stuff' - As often happens in Italy, we have so much to see and visit. Two adults and a teenager we paid 44€ and the visit lasted an hour and a half. Better get a guide. It's worth it!

Definetely worth a visit - The Leonardo, the Caravaggio and a few more icons are worth the visit. Else the Leonardo display with copies and facsimile prints, apart from the one original painting, is weak, and orientation is complicated.
