Explore the seasonal lake of Merzouga, if water is present. Then, make a stop at Khamlia village to enjoy some optional Gnawa music, where you can socialize and perhaps enjoy mint tea with the locals. Please note that a tip for the Gnawa musicians is customary, or you may choose to skip this and proceed directly to the Lead Mines in Mefes. This small, nearly abandoned town on the opposite side of the Erg Chebbi dunes is renowned for its mineral mines, particularly iron, zinc, and lead, which have been operational since the French colonization. Afterwards, the 4WD excursion continues to visit nomadic people living in Berber-style tents on the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes. The tour concludes in Merzouga, where we will drop you off at your hotel or any preferred location.
