- Vergisson - Our first wine stop in Mâconnais, where only white wine is produced. Depending on your interests, we’ll either visit a wine producer, a winery, or simply open a bottle in the vineyards.

- La Roche de Solutre - This small hill was used by prehistoric natives to hunt, driving wild animals off the cliff. It’s also a significant site for the French resistance. Depending on your interest and physical condition, we can hike to the top, which is an easy 30-minute walk.
- Solutre-Pouilly - One of our favorite spots in the Mâconnais region. We’ll either visit another wine producer or enjoy a wine tasting with a professional. This village is as charming as they come!
- Leynes - Our last stop in the Mâconnais region, where we’ll visit a domain on the border with Beaujolais. A young couple, representing a new generation of wine growers, started making wine here a few years ago. Naturally, we’ll taste their wine!
- Saint-Amour-Bellevue - Welcome to Beaujolais! Saint Amour is the first cru (exceptional wine area) we’ll visit, and we’ll do it right by stopping for lunch. We’ll dine at a local restaurant (not included in the price) or, if the weather is nice, have a picnic in the vineyards.
- Saint-Amour-Bellevue - We’ll visit the village church and share all the fascinating things we’ve discovered about this place. Expect a journey through time!
- Chenas - Chénas is the second cru we’ll visit in Beaujolais. We can stop at the village castle, now a cooperative, for a wine tasting. Welcome to red wine country.
- Chateau du Moulin-a-Vent - Known as the lord of Beaujolais wines, Moulin à Vent competed with Romane Conti in the late 19th century. We’ll share its story. Moulin à Vent means Windmill in French, and you’ll see an authentic 15th-century windmill here!
- Fleurie - Known as the most feminine cru of Beaujolais, Fleurie was ironically put on the map by a woman last century. Depending on your mood and thirst, we’ll either stop at the cooperative, which also serves as a local bar, for a tasting, or head uphill to our favorite viewpoint in the vineyards. We’ll set up long chairs and open a few bottles for you to taste, including one from the vineyard where we’ll be standing.
- Julienas - Our final stop in the crus of Beaujolais. Julienas is the rebel cru to us. We’ll visit a building that once belonged to the Catholic Church, where they serve only Julienas wine for less than $2 a glass. Most tables are occupied by local wine growers, and it always feels like some conspiracy is brewing. This is as authentic as it gets.

The tour details above is an example of what we can see on our day together. By experience, it’s more fun to take our time rather than try to see it all, we’ll start off with a set itinerary and will adapt with you as we go along. By experience, it’s more fun to take our time rather than try to see it all, we’ll start off with a set itinerary and will adapt with you as we go along. We hate tourism and we love travel so we’re here to deliver the kind of experience we’d like to have in a foreign country. We try to make tourism meaningful by giving you value for your time and money. We aim at being the friend of a friend you wish you had in a place you didn’t know. This concept started in Shanghai in 2008 and branched out to Marrakech in 2015, Beaujolais region is our first stop at branching out in France, we chose this area as we think it is truly underrated and we think we can help fix this.
