Road to Hana - What a Treat! - Salesi was an excellent tour guide - Hana’s walking encyclopedia! We loved learning about the history of the Hawaiian Islands and enjoyed the “Jurassic Park” style rainforest views. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to experience local Maui culture in a scary, but safe, experience on the 600+ turns Road to Hana!

Road to Hana with sale May 30,2026 - We were picked up at our hotel early this morning. Sale was so knowledgeable and friendly. He made sure that everyone got great pictures and answered any questions we had. We had about 15 stops on this tour. The last stop was a surprise. It was a spectacular surprise . If you want to see the surprise book this tour. It was well worth the money. The day flew by and we made some new friends on this tour.

Beautiful place terrible guide. - My husband and I were treated poorly from the very beginning of this tour. Salesi presented himself as someone who wanted everyone to feel like family and enjoy the experience together, but whenever my husband or I tried to ask questions or engage in conversation, he seemed irritated and barely gave us any attention.
We paid for the full experience that was advertised and unfortunately did not receive it. The main reason we booked this tour was to swim at the waterfall. Because several people in the group chose not to swim, Salesi decided to cut our time there significantly. We were given only about 15 minutes to swim and use the restroom before being rushed back.
What made this especially frustrating was that throughout the tour, Salesi repeatedly stopped to feed roosters. He made multiple rooster-feeding stops and even added an extra “surprise stop” specifically to feed more roosters, yet constantly rushed guests during the actual attractions we paid to see. It was difficult to understand why there was time for additional rooster stops, but not enough time for us to fully enjoy the waterfall experience that was one of the main reasons we booked the tour.
At nearly every stop, we felt pressured to hurry, and in the end, we were brought back earlier than the scheduled return time. We feel completely robbed of both the experience and the money we spent.
What made this even more disappointing was the way we were treated personally. Salesi was friendly and attentive to certain guests, but my husband and I felt singled out and ignored despite making genuine efforts to be friendly and engage with him. From the start, he was dismissive and rude toward us.
This was especially upsetting because we booked this tour during our honeymoon. We were looking forward to making special memories, but instead we left feeling disappointed, rushed, and regretful that we spent our time and money on this experience.

Just a bad experience - Salesi made this experience terrible rush me and my wife the whole time we are on our honeymoon he robed our swimming at the waterfall time ask if anyone wanted to swim we said us since we were the only people who said yes just ignore us and said okay we take 15 minutes and take pictures and leave we took 17 minutes he started to honk the horn at us just so rude every interaction we talk to him 1 one 1 just a rude guy. I will never book anything with this company again he robbed 30 minutes on time we paid for.
