Highlights
  • El Parque del Amor - We will have a tour through Lima’s streets and plazas. Starting at “Parque del Amor” in Miraflores, with a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean, and then we are heading to the Huaca Pucllana, ceremonial center of the Lima culture, for a panoramic view.
  • Plaza de Armas (Plaza Mayor) - After this, we go on to the Main Square where the Government Palace and the Town Hall are located. We will visit the Cathedral and explore the Santo Domingo Convent, along which corridors Sant Martin de Porres and Sant Rosa de Lima used to walk around in 17th century, and where their remains rest today.
  • Basilica and Convent of Santo Domingo, Lima - Explore the Santo Domingo Convent, along which corridors San Martin de Porras and San Rosa de Lima used to walk around in 17th century, and where their remains rest today. One of the most worthy places to visit is the library, not only for the value of the writing works, but also for the coffered ceilings.
  • Museo Larco - Feast upon a delicious buffet lunch in an elegant seaside restaurant; enjoy local specialties made from freshly caught seafood. Revitalized, visit the Larco Museum to immerse yourself in the captivating culture and history of the country. Peruse a plethora of entrancing exhibitions, viewing glittering jewelry, ancient ceramics and more than 50,000 Peruvian pots.
  • Circuito Magico Del Agua - Then, venture to a traditional tavern to sample the nation’s most treasured drink, a pisco sour. Treat your taste buds to the sweet tones of the cocktail, created by combining grape brandy with egg whites, sugar syrup and lemon juice. Snack upon freshly made sandwiches before taking a seat at the Magic Water Circuit for your tour’s compelling conclusion.
Gaze at the choreographed spurts of the impressive fountains as bright color and melodious music explode onto the scene. Watch lasers dance and images appear during the extravagant spectacle. When the show ends, return to your Lima hotel in your comfortable vehicle.
  • Cathedral of Lima - The Basilica Cathedral of Lima is also home to the tomb of Francisco Pizarro, the spanish conqueror of the Inca´s empire. Inside, along the side aisles, are a sequence of large paintings of the Via Crucis, “Way of the Cross.” Pope John Paul II visited this cathedral on two occasions, in 1985 and 1988. This is commemorated with signs at the entrance. There are 14 side chapels.

Walk through Lima - Yanet Herrera was our wonderful guide on this tour that surprised us at every moment. We emphasize that the information and the way he transmitted his knowledge about the history and potential of each place with such passion made the tour unforgettable. Thank you Yanet for these moments and experiences that we will take with us to Uruguay!

Gabby and Gabriel are great tour guides - Both parts of this trip were great. Am saw the central historical district and pm saw the Larco museum and magic water. So much great information was given the entire time. Their English was excellent and they knew the answers to all of our questions. Would definitely recommend this tour, this operator and these guides

Two thumbs up - Ursula is very knowledgeable about Peru’s history. I got to sample all Peru’s dishes, appetizers, desserts with Pisco during lunch in one of their best restaurants. To top it a drink in a bar with a big Peruvian sandwich and Pisco again late afternoon before going to the magic water circuit. Highly recommended tour!!!

Long day - but lots to see and do! - This tour starts early in the day - you drive around Lima and see some of the city sites. You then get dropped off at this buffet restaurant and then have to kill a few hours (which is at a shopping centre/by the coast) because your guide leaves you there then you need to get to the pick up point for the afternoon/evening guide. If I had known that, I would have booked it as two half day tours and gotten dropped off and picked up back at the hotel. Also - as an FYI - the company that runs these tours is not responsive to emails to confirm the activities. They ignored my many emails and Messenger posts. I was lucky that they showed up per my booking - there was no confirmation prior to the event. The Larco Museum and Water Circuit was the highlight of this tour.

A relaxed paced day - The tour was the full day but you were given a couple hours to explore a mall area/lunch place on the coast. Prior to the lunch you have a tour of most of the highlights of the city and the government. The evening is full of history and child like fun with the variety of fountains at the park. Gabrielle was awesome and made our evening part of the trip so awesome!

Very good - The tour was split into 2 tours of ~3h. We had a reservation at a restaurant in between. The tours were very interesting but the time allocated for the lunch was too long. However, very good tour with a local twist at a tavern!
