Day 1: Welcome to Lima, City of Kings and the Larco Museum of Cultures

Lima - Embark on an exclusive tour of Lima’s Historical Center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, beginning at the Convent of Santo Domingo, where the Universidad Mayor de San Marcos, the oldest university in America, was established. This site boasts the country’s oldest choir stalls and a historic library containing 25,000 books, including 15th-century prints, and the remains of notable saints. The tour proceeds through the Plaza Mayor, visiting the Government Palace, the Municipality, and the Cathedral, which displays colonial Lima’s art. It concludes at the Larco Museum, offering insights into ancient Peruvian cultures through its collection of gold artifacts, textiles, and ceramics, including access to the museum’s warehouse for a closer look at historical art forms.

Day 2: Cusco, Capital of the Inca Empire

Cusco - Upon arrival in Cusco, guests are greeted at the airport and transferred to their hotel. In the afternoon, enjoy an exclusive city stroll starting with a visit to the Plaza de San Cristóbal (San Cristobal Square) for a panoramic view of the city. Next, visit the San Pedro Market to experience local flavors and learn about the area’s products in this comprehensive market that supplies the entire city. Later, the Qorikancha Temple welcomes visitors with its splendor and magnificence, featuring walls that were once covered in gold. From San Blas, the artisans’ neighborhood, walk down Hatun Rumiyoc Street, encountering the palace of Inca Roca, now the Archbishop’s Palace, and take time to admire the world-famous Twelve Angled Stone. Continue to the Plaza de Armas to visit The Cathedral, which houses colonial works of incredible value.

Day 3: Archaeological Park of Sacsayhuaman

Sacsayhuaman - In the morning, escape the crowds to visit Sacsayhuaman, an impressive citadel with colossal constructions surrounded by beautiful landscapes in harmony with the environment. Afterwards, continue to the Inca sanctuary of Q’enqo, featuring a surprising altar for sacrifices embedded within its rocky formation. Finally, arrive at the Puca Pucará lookout and Tambomachay, a monument of notable architectural excellence considered one of the pillars of the Andean worldview. Enjoy a free afternoon to explore the city further. The included admissions passport grants access to additional points of interest not covered in the tour.

Day 4: Sacred Valley: Inca and Colonial Pisac, Inkariy Museum and Yucay Live Culture Center

Awana Kancha - The Sacred Valley of the Incas welcomes visitors today. The first stop is the Inca village of Pisac, one of the most beautiful archaeological sites in the Sacred Valley. From the mountain’s summit, enjoy a great view of the colonial village of Pisac. Stroll through the colonial village and shop at the artisan workshops. Later, tour the Inkariy Museum to explore exhibits representing the pre-Hispanic cultures of ancient Peru. After lunch, visit the Yucay Live Culture Center, a tourist complex where local settlers demonstrate traditional textile weaving and dyeing techniques, adobe making, and the preparation of traditional chicha, a corn-based drink, along with a close encounter with Andean camels: llamas and alpacas. Overnight stay in the area.

Day 5: Sacred Valley: Moray Terraces, Maras Salt Mines and Ollantaytambo Living Inca Village

Moray - Visit the Inca Terraces of Moray, a laboratory designed to recreate 20 microclimates for the empire’s agriculture. Then, head to Maras to tour the famous salt mines, where the contrast between the white wells and the clay soil creates a stunning photo opportunity. After lunch, explore Ollantaytambo, the last Inca village, with its streets, plazas, and terraces. Visit the archaeological site, including the half-built Sun Temple, showcasing Inca stonework techniques. Afterwards, transfer to the Ollantaytambo train station to Aguas Calientes. Upon arrival, staff will assist guests and help them settle into their hotel.

Day 6: Machu Picchu, Lost Citadel

Machu Picchu - The much-anticipated day to visit one of the 7 Wonders of the World. Staff assistance is provided to board the bus ascending a winding road, offering a spectacular view of the Urubamba River, which forms a deep canyon. The Lost City of the Incas, Machu Picchu, welcomes visitors with its incredible terraces, staircases, ceremonial sites, and urban areas. The entire place exudes energy. After lunch, return by train and transfer to the hotel in Cusco for lodging.

Day 7: Farewell Day

Cusco - Departure transfer.

• Machu Picchu has implemented new visitor circuits, with three main routes with specific differences to distribute passengers in various areas. These changes are intended to improve the visitor experience and preserve the integrity of the archaeological site. The circuit with route 2 will be given as priority and if it is not available, the options of taking circuit 3B or circuit 1B will be informed so that you can confirm your decision before the tickets are issued.
