Great experience - it was... - Great experience - it was our first time rafting and Kevin did a great job explaining everything, making us feel safe while having fun, and pointing out local flora and fauna. Would 100% recommend!

Fun white water rafting trip - A wonderful day with perfect amount of rapids. Guides were funny and skilled. Lunch was after 2p and very basic. Coffee was great! Pouring rain during lunch so didn’t get farm tour. We are in our 60’s and it was perfect for us. Spent total of 90 minutes on river. Saw a few sloths! Warren was our group leader and our boat guide was Pablo. Did a great job with several languages in our boat.

A wonderful experience shaped by the guides, atmosphere and delicious additions. - We had a wonderful time white water rafting. With rapids, safe but on the brink of danger, and great weather an invigorating environment was beautifully created. Our guide, Orlando, was extremely helpful and proficient in his craft, creating a simple yet fun experience. Additionally he made our first white water rafting experience full of humor, joy, and overall enjoyment led to us wanting to come back. His knowledge allowed us to swim in a much better spot than the other groups, and he taught us about the wildlife. Costa Rica Descent’s provided an easy going experience, starting us off with a delicious fruit snack. They also allowed our group of seven to ride in a boat together so that our two families wouldn’t be separated. They gave all of us a hearty lunch meal afterwards with delicious rice, flavorful chicken, diverse vegetables, beans, and two delicious sauces. They topped this meal off with coffee, water, and star fruit juice. A great experience overall that could only be possible with Costa Rica Descent’s helpful guides, enjoyable atmosphere and delicious additions. We are looking forward to doing more white water rafting, all thanks to the wonderful people at Costa Rica Descent.

Really fun experience - My friends and I had a great time rafting! Our tour guide Carlos Sanchez was really great and we saw some sloths along the way! The view was also amazing and the lunch afterwards was really yummy.

Exhilarating! - We had an amazing trip and Orlando was the best guide! It was my first time so I was nervous but he made it reassuring and fun. The entire tour and lunch experience was great.

Awesome white water rafting experience - This was our first time doing white water rafting but our guide Andy was amazing and all our initial nervousness was gone because of how well Andy steered and guided us through our the experience. The rapids are fun - it’s a combination of calm river and class IV rapids in places so all in all an amazing experience. Highly recommend it!

Family friendly! - Great guides! Super kind, great with kids. We had a bunch of kids ranging in age from 8-12. Yummy fruit on river bank right after ride. Great communication throughout! Ended with coffee, hot chocolate and sweet treats. Our whole family had a blast!

Must-do in La Fortuna - In the morning at 9 am we were welcomed by guide Kevin. He rode with us in the bus to the pick-up point. Along the way he informed us about the area and probably gave us some instructions for rafting. Arriving at the rafts we were divided into groups of 4/5 people. We were lucky and came in the boat with guide Orlando! A perfect coach, enthusiastic rafter and a lover and connoisseur of nature in the area. A very active and educational tour. Fine to do for everyone. Then back to base. Delicious lunch and a delicious coffee. Overall a great day 💪🏼. Highly recommended in La Fortuna

Great guides, well set-up excursion, good lunch - Perfect for me and my 9yo. Great mixture of still some fun rapids, but not too much stress in between. They even let people get out and swim in the river in some slow parts, just following the raft for a bit, which we really enjoyed, as well as jumping from a very tame "cliff" (maybe 8 feet?). They have a great photographer capturing pics of the rapids, but I just brought my phone in a waterproof case and snapped some shots, which they were totally ok with. Note that there's an hour-long drive to the rafting location after you go to the meeting building (where lunch is also served), so you'll want to bring a change of clothes for the ride back.

Had a very fun time - Carlos Sanchec did a great job I really enjoyed my experience we saw a sugar cane tour and enjoyed rowing. I’ve never felt in danger and would highly recommend visitors to do this activity.
