Hanalei Bay - Slip into Hanalei River from our own private dock. We will head down stream sharing history of the Hanalei river & getting comfortable in our kayaks before heading out into Hanalei Bay where we spend the majority of our time. There we check out our Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles (Honu) before heading over to the beach where we will land our kayaks and take everyone out snorkeling (45 mins). Guides will share modern day reef ecology and point out what to look for while snorkeling. After snorkeling we provide a full deli style lunch, sit, hang out, & answer any questions you may have about our island. Our guides are born and raised here and take pride in sharing their island knowledge.
This tour has an 8am check in time and runs from 8:30am-1pm. We will fit you for snorkel gear (you are welcome to bring your own full set of gear or a full set will be provided(no mix & match of gear). Full face masks not permitted on tour.

We are a family from Hawaii, deeply invested in imparting the profound heritage and traditions of Hanalei to you. Join us on our exclusive river-ocean combo tour, which starts from our private pier and leads you to an undiscovered beach. Discover the art of snorkeling in the pristine blue waters of the Pacific, encircled by an array of sea creatures. Alternatively, you can partake in interesting conversations, unwind on the beach or enjoy a meal or some snacks. This tour is ideal for families with children aged 5 and above.
- Must be at least 5 years of age to participate
- Free & ample public parking available
- 1:1 adult to child ratio required for children under 12
- Participants are welcome to use their personal snorkel gear with the exception of full face snorkel masks. Full Face Snorkel Masks are not permitted on tour. All participants are required to use a traditional 2 piece snorkel and mask set.
- 225lbs weight limit per person (exception of up to 250lbs if 6’ or taller)
- Pregnant travelers 30 months or less are welcome to participate
- All participants must be in good physical health, can paddle on their own, & get in/out of kayak on their own without assistance

Best time ever!! - Our tour guide was awesome. His knowledge of Hawaii was very educational!! We had such an amazing time with him!!! I would definitely recommend this excursion to anyone who is new to the island .

Paddle the river, ocean, do some great snorkeling, and enjoy Kauai ! - A great way to spend some energy, enjoy learning about Kauai, laughing and seeing what nature has to offer. Our guide, I'm afraid I would not do his name justice trying to write it, was exceptionally knowledgeable, fun and friendly, yet very professional in the care of our group. We were in the river and ocean the day before the winter swells came in, and even then we paddled some - We thank you for a great morning, and would recommend this to anyone!

So much fun! - I felt everything we needed to know was laid out perfectly. Pre-Trip information was sent out that made it easy to find the location, order the lunch and know exactly what the trip entailed. The staff was wonderful, efficient on time and gave great information about the history of Hanalei, the river And what to expect while snorkeling. Safety tips and information were very helpful. Great outdoor experience for couples - It was beautiful and the guides were fun, knowledgeable and concerned for everyone's safety. We saw a lot of cool fish and large sea turtles.
The kayaking and snorkeling were fun and the picnic lunch was welcome before the paddle back!

Just the right paddle for active seniors. - The gentle Hanalei River paddle allowed us to experience the northern region close up. Gabe, our guide, supported us and provided cultural and regional information as well as a ripe papaya along the route. Snorkeling visibility was hampered by the swell, but we enjoyed seeing some tropical fish before a lovely turkey sandwich. Paddle back was against current, so save some strength for the way back and just take your time and enjoy. Front desk staff was amazing.

Once in a lifetime! - Once in a lifetime experience! Kayaking from the river to the ocean was so exciting. Gabe was very knowledgeable on the culture and history of the area. He was even able to show us a sea turtle while snorkeling. A big shout out to Gabe for being so kind and welcoming to us-he embodies the spirit of the island!

A Great Introduction to Seaside Hanalei - So much fun. No worries for novice paddlers--easy going on the river, with Gabe's commentary about history, geography, plant and animal species a real bonus. Good snorkeling at "private" beach we paddled to in the bay. A relaxing, interesting, enjoyable trip in every way. Highly recommend.

A must do on the North Shore we saw TURTLES!!! - Such an amazing experience, a must-do in Hanalei! We saw 3 turtles while snorkeling. This is family-owned business, the guides were great and super friendly!! If you are staying on the north shore do this tour!!
