Kathmandu Sightseeing

Kathmandu - Enjoy a guided tour of UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including the Pashupatinath Temple, the Buddhist pilgrimage sites of Buddha and Shyambhu, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square, and Patan Durbar Square. As the trek begins the following day, it is recommended to prepare your backpack for the journey.

Drive from Kathmandu to Sotikhola (700m)

Aarughat - After an early breakfast, embark on a drive to Sotikhola via Arughat Bazar (650m) in a private jeep. The journey from Kathmandu is smooth until Taribeshi, after which the road becomes a bit rough and windy until reaching Arughat and then Sotikhola. Overnight stay is arranged here.

Trek from Sotikhola to Tatopani (990m)

Soti Khola - The trek begins from Sotikhola to Tatopani, traversing the rugged terrain of Budhi Gandaki and ascending and descending rocky hills to reach the village of Lapubeshi. Along the way, enjoy views of the Siringi Mountain range, waterfalls, and the local village of Machhakhola. At Tatopani, relax with a bath in the natural hot spring.

Trek from Tatopani to Jagat (1340m)

Jagat - Departing from Tatopani, the trail leads through Dobhan (1070m), a quaint village, then to Shyaule Bhatti, Yuru (1330m) via Budhi Gandaki. After a 2 to 3-hour walk from Yuru, arrive at Jagat (1370m).

Trek from Jagat to Deng (1865m)

Gorkha - The path continues through Ghatte Khola to Phillip, where the large and thriving village of Phillim can be seen. From Phillip, the trail passes through George, grassy slopes with tall pine trees, and crosses the Budhi Gandaki Bridge, offering views of the large Shar Khola and Tsum Valley on the opposite bank. The trail widens on the western side, leading through a bamboo forest to Deng.

Trek from Deng to Namrung (2630m)

Namrung - The trek from Deng to Bihi Phedi follows Budhi Gandaki and Sringi Khola, passing through forests to reach Ghap. From Ghap, the path winds through dense forests of rhododendron, fir, and bamboo, where various birds and animals, including Nepal’s national bird, the Danphe, can be spotted. Enter Namrung via a stone archway.

Trek from Namrung to Samagaun (3850m)

Samagaun - From Namrung, the trail passes a mani wall to Lho, offering views of beautiful forests of firs, oaks, and rhododendron, as well as stunning mountains like Manaslu, Manaslu North, and Naike Peak. The path descends steeply to Sama Gaon, revealing rivers and glaciers. Enjoy glimpses of mountains such as Hiunchuli (7,893m), Manaslu, and Ngadi Chuli (7,879m). Explore the expansive pastures and fields of Samagaun, where an overnight stay is planned.

Trek from Samagaun to Samdo (3860m)

Manaslu - Begin the day with a trek to the grazing area leading to the Samdo Valley. Along the way, enjoy the breathtaking view of Manaslu.

Acclimatization Day in Samdo

Manaslu - Spend the day acclimatizing, exploring the grassy grazing area, and capturing stunning views of Manaslu. Cross a wooden bridge marked by many walls, then return to the hotel in Samdo for rest and relaxation.

Trek from Samdo to Dharmasala (4470m)

Manaslu - From Samdo, cross a wooden bridge adorned with old mani walls, leading to the Larka Glacier Valley. The trail to Salka Khola offers views of the stone guest house known as Dharamsala.

Trek from Dharmasala to Bimthang via Larkya Pass (5160m)

Trek from Bimthang to Tilije

Bimthang - The path leads through a rhododendron forest to Karcher, the highest cultivation area, then descends to Gho village. Continue to Tilje village, crossing the Dudh Koshi and a wooden bridge.

Trek from Tilije to Jagat (1410m)

Jagat - Follow an easy trail, climbing through paddy fields to the small Karcha La Pass, and walk through fig trees and rhododendron forests to reach Tilje.

Trek from Jagat to Beshisahar (790m)

Besisahar - The trail leads through pine and rhododendron forests from Jagat to Bahundanda. From Bahundanda, return to Besisahar, the headquarters of the Lamjung District.

Drive Back from Beshisahar to Kathmandu

Kathmandu - Travel back to Kathmandu from Besisahar by jeep.

Transfer to International Airport for Final Departure (Trip Ends)

Kathmandu - On the last day in Kathmandu, enjoy a meal and some shopping before your flight. A representative and driver will escort you to the airport for your departure.

The Manaslu region trek offers breathtaking mountain views, with Mount Manaslu as the centerpiece. The trek is renowned for its stunning landscapes, constant water sources from glaciers, waterfalls, and rich cultural heritage. The valley above Samdo, near the Tibetan border, is particularly picturesque. After traversing the snow-laden Larkya La pass (5160m), trekkers proceed to Bhimthang and Tilje, passing through lush tropical areas filled with ferns, bamboo, and pine trees, eventually reaching Jagat. From Jagat, a vehicle will transport you to Kathmandu. The Manaslu circuit trek can be enjoyed in a lodge-style accommodation.
