Great food and guide in a spectacular and local backdrop - Deepak was an awesome tour guide super knowledgeable about all things Nepal, and we even got int discussions about surrounding countries too. So it was easy to keep the conversation flowing. Speaking of flowing definitely come hungry lots of great Nepalese food in some very unique places. After dozens of food tours this one wins the smallest restaurant award, so fun to feel as local as it gets. Also some great neighborhoods and things to see along the way. It alll flew by!

Eating around in the Tamer area - We tasted traditional Kathmandu dishes (such as peaches and panipuri), lassie and tea in Tameru district. I was guided to a local shop and experienced Nepal. It was interesting to learn about the history of the city and Nepal while walking. Our guide picked us up at the hotel and we were very friendly and witty. I also pushed myself a little too hard and made my own peaches. It was fun.

Amazing taste of Kathmandu - We had an amazing time on our walking food tour of Kathmandu with Deepak! From the moment we met him, he was incredibly warm, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about Nepali food and culture. We tried so many delicious dishes, more than we ever expected and each one came with a rich story and cultural background that Deepak shared with such enthusiasm. He’s an absolute fountain of knowledge, not just about the food itself, but also about its origins, how it’s made, and the traditions behind it. It felt like we weren’t just tasting Kathmandu, but really experiencing it through Deepak’s eyes. We’re so grateful to have had him as our guide, it made our time in the city truly unforgettable. If you’re a foodie or just curious about local life, this tour is a must, and Deepak is the perfect person to lead the way. Thank you, Deepak!

Friendly and knowledgeable - Deepak’s street food tour in Kathmandu was a highlight of my trip. He took me to hidden local spots where I tried delicious, clean, and authentic Nepali street food while meeting the kindest vendors. The food was amazing, but it was Deepak’s local knowledge and friendly vibe that made it feel like exploring the city with a good friend. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a real taste o Kathmandu

Yummy - The food and walking tour was a great way to explore the city and try some amazing local dishes. We sampled everything from pastries to flavorful dishes like chatamari and panipuri in local restaurants around Kathmandu. The guide, Deepak, was friendly, well-informed, and shared insightful tidbits about the city's history, culture, and culinary traditions.

Delicious food and culture - This tour with Deepak was extremely well thought out and I felt like I really got to know Kathmandu’s cuisine and history. Deepak is extremely knowledgeable and an excellent guide. I feel like I got to experience the culture and actually got to know what the locals eat. Deepak was able to give us the inside scoop! Deepak also made sure everyone had something to eat if someone was vegetarian or if someone didn’t like spicy food as much. I’m so happy I got to know Deepak and would definitely book a tour with him again if I return to Nepal or reccomend to anyone who is thinking of going to Nepal!

You can't go wrong with this tour! - We had so much fun on this tour! Deepak was knowledgeable about the foods we tried as well as the history of Nepal, its politics, religions, and culture. He provided fun facts as well as answered all of our off the wall questions. We booked during monsoon season but the rain didn’t dampen our spirits and we’re glad we made this part of our trip. All of the food was delicious, but my absolute favorite was the first Newari dish closely followed by the lassi. I highly recommend booking this tour! Pro tip: book the 15:45 (345pm) tour; have yourself a medium size breakfast and then hold out until the tour starts. So much delicious food, you won't go hungry.
