Kanazawa off beaten path - Ian was very knowledgeable and fun. He took us to the best places in town, off beaten path and authentic. Best quality tour and sightseeing. Highly recommend!

Kanazawa Adventure - Rimi was very helpful and knowledgeable. She showed us a historic tea house, a samurai house, a very beautiful garden, and where the best golden leaf ice cream was… in Kanazawa.
She allowed us to see all the gift shops and cafes that we wanted to see on the way, so there was some flexibility on the tour, making it even more enjoyable.
Very well worth it, and an amazing experience!

A brilliant tour in Takayama - Our guide, Kumiko (known as ‘Koo’) created a unique experience for us. From sending us a welcome note and proposed itinerary and booklets on the area the day before, to greeting us with a handmade, personalised welcome sign on the day of the tour. Koo took us to many of the local sites and although you could see Takayama without a guide, we learnt far more with her. She also ensured we visited the best beef, ice cream, cookie, and antique shops. Our lunch stop recommended by Koo was also absolutely delicious. Koo is very quirky and we absolutely loved her enthusiasm — even when a few things got a little lost in translation, her warmth and energy always shone through.

Kanazawa rich in history - Sachiko was amazing her knowledge and insights to the history of Kanazawa was incredible. We talked about so many different topics about the history of her city and the differences between here and other regions in Japan was so much fun. There is no downside to booking a day with Sachiko we would highly recommend her to anyone who visits the city she grew up in. You would not regret having her as your tour guide. She even took pictures of us along the way. She was pretty incredible all day long and so helpful.

Diving into culture - It was a real pleasure having Sachiko as our guide.
We visited a few artisanal museums and without her explanations we wouldn’t have learned so much. She told us very much about the old Japanese culture while visiting the typical houses. We just loved it.
Time flew by way too fast.
We recommend Sachiko as a perfect and charming guide.
During the excellent lunch we even talked about our families and the different systems of Family- and Business life.

Nozomi Kondo—EXCELLENT Tour Guide - Nozomi Kondo was truly incredible! She was so knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make our day exploring Kanazawa informative and fun. Her passion for what she does is truly evident, and she has so much energy! All of her recommendations for meals and snacks (gold leaf ice cream!) were top-notch. She also directed us to the most reputable shops. Nozomi is a Japanese treasure!

Three wonderful days in Kanazawa! - We spent three wonderful days in Kanazawa with Nozomi as our guide. It was as if we came to visit and had a very good local friend show us around. And that’s exactly what we had by the time that we moved on to our next stop on our Japan tour. Gigo and I both thank you, Nozomi, for making our time in Kanazawa so delightful!

Kanazawa, its people and history. - Round experience with Sachiko, our guide. We will repeat without a doubt.
We spent a very quiet and interesting day, learning about the Samurai neighborhood, the Kenrokuen garden, Lord Maeda and his family, everything he did for Kanawaza, the Castle and one of the Gheisas neighborhoods.
He also taught us curiosities of Japanese life, ancient and current. She was very understanding and friendly with our 1-year-old and took us to eat at a 100% recommended place overlooking Kanazawa Castle, with delicious soba and very friendly people too.
A day for remembrance.
