A lovely way to spend a Sunday morning! - What a wonderful way to spend a Sunday morning! Chugging along through some amazing scenery whilst listening to a bit of history along the way! The steam whistle is a sound I love to hear and I was very lucky to be able to record one going off! The stop at Aramoor was wonderful, watching the steam engine back up onto the turntable and seeing it turn around was such a highlight for me. The extra stop at Dagun on the way back was lovely, cheese and wine tasting, who could ask for more! Our carriage attendant was so much fun, he made the trip quite memorable with his jokes and unique view on things! I would recommend it for sure!

Love Train to the past. - Excellent adventure back to the past. Trundling along so that you could see the changing countryside, with occasional informative commentary. The engine looked and sounded great, especially on the turntable and the carriages took us back to school travel in the 60's. Volunteers were cherry and friendly and Amamoor is a beautiful little spot. Highly recommended for any train lover, history buff or adventurer.

Unique experience - The Mary valley Rattler is such a unique experience, the staff/ volunteers are so friendly. On the way out to Amamoor you go past beautiful countryside and arrive in a small country town which offers markets, food and entertainment. Fantastic morning out.

My Mary Valley Rattler Experience - A great trip down memory lane of the days of the steam engine red Rattler. A fun day with a group of friends on a beautiful sunny day. The views of the Mary Valley from the train were spectacular and lush after all the rain the region had. The end of the line and engine turn around at Amamoor enabled us to grab a refreshment and to listen to some great country music provided by a man and his young family of Buskers. The trip back to Gympie was quicker than the one going down to Amamoor. Once back at the Gympie Station a welcomed lunch was available if desired at an extra cost. The Old Station is a museum taking one back to yesteryear. All the Staff of the M V Rattler organisation are friendly volunteers who make the whole experience happen and without each and every one of them, the venture would not happen. Kudos to the Mary Valley Rattler team for a job well done and a fun experience had by all. I recommend the experience.

Definitely worth the trip! - We took a family trip on the Mary Valley Rattler. It was well worth it and we loved it. It was a perfect day, enjoying the history and the view.

Friendly volunteers - Great friendly volunteer's and a lovely scenic trip stop at Amamoor. Lovely walk around and listened to a great band after watching the steam engine turn around.

Family day out - Went with my son's family from Dubai including 4- and 2-year-old Granddaughters we all enjoyed the experience even with rain. The host on train and cafe staff were excelent

Great experience 👍 - What a fantastic experience. Booking was super easy. The service was amazing 👏 The Rattler was beautiful 😍 The knowledge these people have was great 👍 All up, a great day out. Bit of advice about Amamore, go over to the general store if you want ice cream as there is no que 😀
