- Glencoe - Known for its stunning landscapes, Glencoe is also steeped in history as the site of the infamous Glencoe massacre of 1692. A visit to the Glencoe Visitor Centre provides an opportunity to delve into the glen’s past. The centre features a turf house, offering a glimpse into the life of the 500-600 strong community that resided here in the 17th century. The journey through the glen occurs twice, in the morning and evening, with stops for photos and to appreciate the scenery.
- Fort William - Situated in the shadow of Ben Nevis, Fort William is a charming holiday town. The tour passes through in the morning to join the enchanting ‘Road to the Isles’.
- Glenfinnan Viaduct - Ample time is allocated to explore Glenfinnan, where the views are truly spectacular. The 21 arches of the magnificent Glenfinnan Viaduct sweep through the glen, famously depicted as the route to Harry Potter’s Hogwarts. From April 2 to October, the aim is to arrive in time to witness the Jacobite Steam Train crossing. The Glenfinnan Monument, erected in 1815 to honor the Jacobites who fought for Bonnie Prince Charlie, is also accessible for those wishing to visit. (Please Note: The Jacobite steam train will not operate from September 1st to 5th, 2025.)
- Ardlui - After retracing the route through Glencoe and Rannoch Moor, the final stop of the evening is in the heart of Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Here, visitors can enjoy an early evening refreshment before returning to Glasgow.

Breathtaking Scenery & Top-Notch Guide – A Must-Do! - We had the absolute best day with Colin from Discover Scotland Tours! He’s a fantastic driver and guide — full of knowledge, stories, and just the right amount of humor to keep the day fun. The scenery was almost too beautiful to be real, from stunning Loch Lomond to dramatic Glencoe, and of course the famous Glenfinnan Viaduct of Harry Potter fame. Every stop was picture-perfect and the countryside was absolutely gorgeous. This tour was the highlight of our trip — highly recommend!

Awesome and wonderful time in Scotland - I don't normally leave reviews, however the trip today with our tour guide Tony was wonderful. I would recommend this tour to any of my friends who intend come to Scotland. Very informative and memorable!! Hope to come back someday and do another tour with this company.

Beautiful Scottish Highlands - This was a very pleasant journey. It gives a chance to see historical places of Scotland and to admire Scottish nature. The trip was well organized. The driver and guide Mark tried his best to introduce the Scottish history to us.

Harry Potter Magic - We thoroughly enjoyed our 1-day trip to see the Glenfinnan Viaduct, Glencoe & Loch Shiel tour. Discover Scotland was very communicative throughout the booking process and leading up to our departure which we appreciated. Our driver, Clyde, was courteous, an excellent navigator, and gave us a lot of great history along the way. Each stop included plenty of time to take in the views, and we even managed to see the Jacobite Steam Train go over the viaduct which was a cool experience!

GlenFinnan Tour - We took the GlenFinnan tour yesterday with Scott & he was wonderful. He was very informative, kind, & has a great sense of humor. The tour packed in a lot of sights in 1 day & we both thoroughly enjoyed it. Lots of things to see & do.

Fantastic experience - We had a fantastic day with our guide Marc. For each part of the trip he had an interesting story about history, but also urban legends and matching (Scottish) music. In addition to seeming to know everything about our destinations, the road to them and the surroundings, he also kept it light-hearted by telling the occasional dadjoke. The trip itself is very rewarding. We were very impressed by the beautiful views from the bus, but also had plenty of time to take in everything during the stops. Thanks to Marc's stories, we knew exactly where we were and the history of these locations. We stopped at three locations in Glencoe during our trip. We also got a good look at Loch Lomond, Fort William and Ben Nevis. The highlight was of course to see the steam train drive over Glenfinnan Viaduct. We enjoyed it very much and recommend this tour to everyone. Thanks again, Marc!

Viaduct is absolute fun trip - We had great time during the trip. The driver/guide was absolute delight. He drove smooth and explained everything in great detail and with passion. Made us feel comfortable and gave enough time at every spot. The vehicle was spotless too. The itinerary was also great. We reached in time.

Beautiful West Highland experience with amazing tour guide! - A perfect day. Stunning views, super comfortable coach and got to see the Harry Potter train. Above all, give it up for the amazing Kyle! Best guide ever! He was very sweet and attentive, told the best stories and played the best music for a full Scottish experience! Awesome driver too and gave us some extra film location spots to beat rush hour traffic which resulted in better views of landmarks after! A dream!

Memorable experience - Amazing views, couldn’t recommend enough!! We loved our guide, Marc, who was fully invested in entertaining us and in making sure everyone was comfortable and satisfied. The tour went very smoothly, we had the opportunity to stop at many different places and had more than enough time to enjoy each spot. As expected, we got to see the train go over the bridge!
