Starting from Edinburgh, the journey takes you into the picturesque Trossachs National Park, with a chance to enjoy morning refreshments in the charming Highland town of Callander. The tour then proceeds through the remote Rannoch Moor, one of Europe’s last true wilderness areas. A stop in Glencoe offers opportunities for photographs amidst its dramatic landscapes and storied history.
Continuing through Fort William, with the majestic Ben Nevis towering above, the route follows the Great Glen Canal to Fort Augustus at the southern tip of Loch Ness. Here, there is approximately 2 hours to explore the town and enjoy lunch. Tickets for a 1-hour cruise on the loch are also available for purchase.
After departing Loch Ness, the journey continues through the Grampian Mountains and across the expansive ‘Monarch of the Glen’ country to Perthshire, where there will be time for evening refreshments.
As the tour heads south towards Edinburgh, enjoy views of the Forth Rail Bridge, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Our day in Scotland - My wife and I recently took this tour with Kyle as our driver and guide, and he was outstanding from start to finish. He was knowledgeable about Scottish history, shared great insights at every stop, and even recommended extra places to see along the way. Kyle made the trip both fun and informative, and his passion really came through. I would highly recommend this tour with Kyle and would gladly take it again.

Outstanding Small-Group Tour with a Passionate Guide - We had a fantastic day with Discover Scotland Tours and our guide, Kyle. He’s incredibly knowledgeable about Scotland’s history and geography, and his passion for the country really shines through.
Our small group of just 6 made the experience personal and comfortable. Twice there were accidents ahead, and the company quickly gave Kyle alternate routes so we didn’t waste time in traffic. Even with detours, he showed us great spots along the way.
Highly recommend — we’ll definitely tour with them again!

Exceptional tour, stunning scenery, and an unforgettable experience made possible by the incredible Gary S., a master storytelle - I was a bit hesitant about a full-day tour, but this trip with Gary S. was nothing like the crowded, touristy experiences I've had elsewhere. Gary's pre-trip information was incredibly helpful, and he proved to be an absolute expert, navigating the beautiful Scottish Highlands and allowing plenty of time for walks, food, and photos.
I won't go into detail about the destinations themselves—their breathtaking beauty is self-evident. Instead, I want to focus on what a gem of a guide we had in Gary. He's a master storyteller, weaving captivating tales of Scottish history and culture, all accompanied by a perfectly curated playlist of Scottish music. His passion for Scotland is contagious. And, as someone prone to car sickness, I was especially grateful for his smooth driving. In just 12 hours, we felt we got a real taste of Scotland, and it's an experience we'd repeat without a single change. Thank you, Gary S, for a truly unforgettable day!

Outstanding! - Absolutely outstanding tour with Gary S.! From start to finish, he was warm, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable. What really set him apart was his ability to weave together a wide range of topics: everything from history to geology, recent events, bridges, buildings and even whiskey fungus.
He’s a brilliant storyteller with a sharp wit and a great sense of humor. He had everyone completely hooked.
I walked away not only having learned a lot but also with a genuine appreciation for the places and stories he shared. Easily one of the best tour experiences I’ve had. Highly recommend!

The perfect day in Scotland - We were only in Scotland for 2 nights and 1 day so chose Discover Scotland and couldn't have been happier. The day is long but covered everything I wanted to cover this time around. Our driver Gary S was a great driver and a skilled raconteur with great knowledge of history. We liked the smaller group size that allows a smaller bus. Just the right amount of rest stops and we recommend taking the Loch Ness Cruise because you want to see Nessie right?!
We have decided to come back here from the States next year and will do another trip with this Conpany.
Very reasonably priced.

It’s a long day, but... - It’s a long day, but you’re going to see amazing scenery throughout it and it’s worth it! Loved that this tour used small busses, it created a personalized experience where our guide Kieran called us each by name when checking with us throughout the tour. Another benefit to the small group is boarding takes only a few seconds in each stop. The minibus has gigantic windows so no matter what side the scenery was on you could enjoy it. Our guide Kieran provided commentary throughout and I learned a lot. Again with the small group made it easy to ask questions and get answers whenever. Tour company was also very responsive, sending messages the day prior to the tour with detailed instructions and ability to Chat via WhatsApp or phone.

Truly a great and memorable experience - My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our day tour of the highland lochs, glens and castles.
In fact we found it to be the highlight of our entire UK holiday.
Gary Sadlers in depth knowledge was amazing and it certainly added value to the whole experience.
The venues were all wonderful and we have some stunning photos taken from them.
I would certainly recommend Discover Scotland Tours.

Fantastic Trip! - Ron was out tour guide and did an amazing job narrating almost the ENTIRE tour! It was so great to not just visit a place, but also learn the history along the way. Ron also had great recommendations of where to eat and shop when we stopped. On the way back into Edinburg, he pointed out other places to visit, eat, and tour. We wish we would've done this trip on the front end of our vacation so we would've had time to check out some of his recommendations.
