Funchal Hop on hop off Yellow Bus 5 day pass - Really worth it! Can see a lot of the island. Drivers good and helpful. Highly recommend it. Channel 3 for English audio.

An adventure on the Yellow bus - It is an interesting tour that combines the city center of Funchal with a panoramic tour to the town of Câmara dos Lobos, where a brief pause is suggested, to resume the tour (other bus) to Cabo Girão. On the promontory (in a break of about 25 minutes) you can enjoy magnificent views.

Simply Superb. - It's an absolute must when visiting Madeira/Funchal...Great places to visit at your leisure...one thing to remember...when going to Girau...you need card or coins as machines didn't take notes...and you won't access the Views...

Exploring Funchal by Yellow Bus - Everything worked out fine. The driver was very friendly and helpful. I was in a wheelchair, the driver helped me get in and provided the wheelchair. During the tour you get a very good overview of Funchal. The possibility to get on and off at the stops allows you to explore interesting places at any time. I can fully recommend the tour.

Good taste of Funchal - We had 5 days family ticket. It was nice tour, we drive the whole round 3 times. So much to see. Wine tasting was lovely experience too.

Yellow Bus Hop on Hop Off 3 in 1 - When visiting cities or large towns we generally start with the hop on hop off bus to get our bearings and find places of interest to seek out and re-visit. When visiting Funchal we purchased a 5 day 3 in 1 pass. Unfortunately on this occasion we found nothing that we felt we would want to see again. Possibly a 48hr 3 in 1 ticket is plenty. To take the Cabo Girao Tour get the hop on hop off bus at stop 1 at 10:30am stay on bus until stop 13 get off approx 11:30 and wait for a single decker bus aprox 11:45 to take you to Cabo Girao. At the top there are public toilets (50cents) a shop and a cafeteria. You can purchase a ticket to go through the barrier to stand at the view point, we didn’t bother. The bus generally waits 30 minutes to take you back to stop 13. If feeling energetic get off at stop 19 and walk along the promenade to stop 22 or just walk all the way back to Funchal.

Yellow Bus tour disappointing - The tour was dissappointing as the sound describing where we were did not match where we actually were. It would be useful if their was a tour going the reverse way round, so we could go a different way. The second time we waited for the bus, it took over an hour to arrive. When asked why so late the driver just shrugged his shoulders and took no notice. We discovered that a cruise ship was in town and took tourists round, but took a long time to board and people were standing during our journey too. On the face of it the idea of hop on off bus is good, but you have no idea when they are arriving- if at all! some people had been waiting for an hour too and there was no room for them. The local buses come along frequently so I would not advise using yellow bus as it is so unpredictable and the guide poor. We had aid for 5 days but ended up using them three times.

Not worth it - Not worth the money.Organisation not good.You can do these places with the normal buses for less than £2.Bus station at end of promenade and they were very helpful.Did Mobte palace for 1 euro 90 instead of 45 euro
