Great Wine Tour in Chianti with Two Fantastic Wineries! - I had an amazing time on the “Chianti Colours & Flavours “ half-day tour with CiaoFlorence to the Chianti wine region on Wednesday, March 19th. The experience was beautifully organized and I highly recommend it for anyone wanting to explore the region’s wines and stunning landscapes. The first winery, ‘Lanciola’, was absolutely charming. It had a cozy, homey feel that made me feel welcome. The wine cellar was gorgeous and the guides were incredibly approachable, with a deep knowledge of both the region and the wines they produce. The wine itself was delightful and I particularly enjoyed their white wine! The second winery, ‘Tenuta Torciano’, offered a completely different experience. This place felt exclusive and impressive. The grounds were huge, complete with a personal horse-riding school and even a helicopter landing spot! The gardens were absolutely beautiful, and the interior was stunning, with fake wisteria and grape vines hanging from the ceiling. The tables were elegantly set and we were treated to a generous plate of meat, cheeses and bread. In addition to the wines, we also had the opportunity to taste some of their delicious balsamic vinegar, spicy olive oil and white truffle olive oil. The guide here was entertaining and kept us laughing the whole time. This made the experience even more enjoyable. Beyond the wineries, our tour leader, Cecily, was exceptional. She did a fantastic job sharing the history of Florence and the Chianti region during the drive. Her knowledge and energy added a lot to the overall experience. Overall, I had an unforgettable time and would definitely recommend this tour for anyone who wants to enjoy the beauty of the Chianti region, taste exceptional wines and experience great hospitality!

Scenery wineries - On the 10th of March, I went on this amazing wine tasting trip with Ciao Florence. We met at the Piazzale Montelungo, where we also met our tour guide Cecily. We started off by going to the first winery called "il Molino di Grace", where we got a short tour around a part of the property with a lot of information. I got to learn about the difference between Chianti Classico and Chianti wine, which was in fact very interesting as I did not know about that. At this property, we got to taste 3 different wines, each with some information about the process and some cheese, bread, and ham. Then we made our way to the second and last winery called "Tenuta di Riseccoli", a small boutique winery. I learned that they only make about 20.000 bottles of wine, which is not a lot compared to bigger wineries. At this winery, we got to taste 3 other wines, also with some information about the process. They also offered us some bread with olive oil, cheese with their own balsamic vinegar, and ham. After that, we made our way back to Florence. Our tour leader was really kind and gave us some other information about the region, as well as some of the city of Florence - which I found really nice of her. To conclude, I would recommend doing this tour if you want to experience wines in a scenery setting.

Chianti tour review - Our guide and driver for the Chianti tour were really wonderful and went above and beyond to make sure all of the guests had a great experience. Our guide, John, also spent a lot of time giving us recommendations for other activities to do in Florence and places to go. Would highly recommend!!

Good for the money! - One of our best experiences in Italy! We got to see the countryside and two locations of wineries. Both places were drastically different so it was neat to see different scales of doing things. I definitely learned a lot about wine!

Not to be missed!! - We signed up for this tour last minute, and so glad we did! Elaria Italia & Aldo, our tour guide and bus driver made this such an enjoyable tour. The drive out to the Chanti area was so beautiful. We visited two vineyards and both proprietors were very welcoming and had a wonderful presentation of food, wine and olive oils. Also, a great way of meeting other tourists and getting to find out a little more about each other. We took the 2:30pm tour, so by the time we arrived at the second vineyard it was sunset; suggest the earlier tour(during fall/winter) just because I would have really liked to have more daylight to see this vineyard.

Was a fun afternoon and... - Was a fun afternoon and early evening. Host and driver were great. The two wineries visited were fun and the wines better than i anticipated. Each event tasting was more a little more "hard sale" than i prefer.

First winery small family... - First winery small family place was nice. Didn't care for the tour of goats stables. Didn't try any of their red wines. Second stop was excellent.
