Entebbe - Upon arriving at Entebbe International Airport in the morning, a representative will greet you and escort you to your reserved hotel for check-in and refreshments. Today is dedicated to relaxation and recuperation after your long flight. Additionally, your guide will accompany you to the mall for purchasing SIM cards and currency exchange.

Kampala - Start your day with breakfast before heading into the vibrant heart of Kampala for a cultural and historical exploration of Uganda’s lively capital. Visit the Uganda Museum to learn about the country’s heritage, then proceed to the UNESCO-listed Kasubi Tombs, a sacred burial site for Buganda kings. Continue to the Gaddafi National Mosque, where you can climb the minaret for panoramic views of the city skyline. Enjoy browsing local craft markets and tasting authentic Ugandan street food. In the afternoon, travel to Jinja, known as East Africa’s adventure capital. On the way, stop at the spiritual Sezibwa Falls, where cultural legends meet natural beauty, and take a brief nature walk through Mabira Forest, Uganda’s largest natural forest reserve. Upon reaching Jinja, relax with a scenic sunset boat ride to the Source of the Nile, the starting point of this legendary river’s journey to the Mediterranean. Spend the evening unwinding by the riverside.

Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary & Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park – Visit the Top of the Falls

Murchison Falls National Park - After breakfast, set off northward toward Murchison Falls National Park, with a memorable stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda to see wild rhinos. Accompanied by an experienced ranger, you’ll track these magnificent creatures on foot in their natural savannah and bush habitat, offering a thrilling and educational wildlife experience. After lunch, continue the scenic drive to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and oldest conservation area. Upon arrival, head directly to the iconic Top of the Falls, where the Nile dramatically squeezes through a narrow 7-meter gorge and plunges into the Devil’s Cauldron below—a breathtaking sight and perfect photo opportunity. Later, drive to your lodge inside or near the park, check in, and relax for the evening.

Sunrise Game Drive, Boat Safari & Sunset Wildlife Viewing in Murchison Falls National Park

Murchison Falls National Park - Start your day with an early morning game drive across the northern savannah plains of Murchison Falls National Park. This is the prime time to see predators on the move and grazing animals at their most active. Expect to encounter majestic elephants, graceful giraffes, prides of lions, elusive leopards, large buffalo herds, oribis, Uganda kobs, and abundant birdlife. After the game drive, return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast and some relaxation. In the afternoon, embark on a scenic boat safari along the Victoria Nile, heading upstream to the base of Murchison Falls. As the boat cruises past pods of hippos and basking crocodiles, you’ll have the chance to see more wildlife gathered along the riverbanks. At the base of the falls, you can optionally hike up to the top for sweeping views and a dramatic close-up of the Nile as it crashes through the narrow gorge. Later in the day, enjoy a sunset game drive as the golden hour settles over the landscape.

Scenic Drive to Fort Portal – Cross the Equator & Continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Queen Elizabeth National Park - After an early breakfast, leave Murchison Falls National Park and embark on a scenic drive southward toward Fort Portal, one of Uganda’s most charming towns nestled in the foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains. The journey takes you through lush countryside, rural villages, tea plantations, and beautiful rolling hills, offering a real taste of Uganda’s natural beauty and cultural diversity. Arrive in Fort Portal in time for lunch, then continue the drive toward Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s most famous savannah reserve and a haven for wildlife and birdlife. Along the way, you’ll cross the Equator line, a great spot for a photo stop and a chance to stand in both hemispheres at once! Depending on your arrival time, you may spot some animals along the way as you approach the park.

Morning Chimpanzee Trekking in Kyambura Gorge – Boat Safari on Kazinga Channel – Sundowner Evening Game Drive

End of the Tour & Departure

Entebbe - Your driver guide will pick you up after breakfast for a short game drive before exiting the park. Today, you will drive back to Kampala or Entebbe. You will leave the park and stop at the Equator monument for lunch, souvenirs, and photo sessions in both the northern and southern hemispheres. Depending on your flight time, you will be taken directly to the airport or to any drop-off point of your choice. If you need to spend a night in Entebbe or Kampala, please let us know so that we can book you a hotel for this day at an additional cost.
