Amazing Mabamba Shoebill Tour with Nungi Safaris - I had a wonderful trip to Mabamba Swamp with Nungi Safaris. Everything was well organized, and the guide was friendly and very knowledgeable. The boat ride through the wetlands was beautiful, and spotting the rare Shoebill stork up close was an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend Nungi Safaris for anyone visiting Uganda!

A Magical Day Spotting the Shoebill at Mabamba with Nungi Safaris - Our one-day birding trip to Mabamba Swamp on Lake Victoria with Amos of Nungi Safaris was nothing short of amazing! From the very beginning, Amos made the experience seamless – punctual, professional, and very knowledgeable about both birds and Uganda’s ecosystems. The highlight, of course, was seeing the legendary Shoebill Stork in its natural habitat. We glided quietly through the papyrus channels on a canoe, surrounded by breathtaking scenery, as Amos and the local guide expertly spotted a wide range of bird species. Apart from the Shoebill, we saw colorful kingfishers, herons, jacanas, cormorants, and many others. His ability to identify each bird and share fascinating facts made the trip even more special. What stood out most was Amos’s passion and patience – he made sure everyone got the best view and photos of the Shoebill, which was a once-in-a-lifetime moment for us. The entire experience felt very personal, well-organized, and deeply connected to Uganda’s natural beauty. A Perfect Day of Shoebill Birding with Amos - Our birding trip to Mabamba Swamp on Lake Victoria with Amos from Nungi Safaris was absolutely unforgettable. From the moment we set off, Amos’s warm personality and deep knowledge of Uganda’s birdlife made the whole experience enjoyable and easy. The canoe ride through the papyrus wetlands was peaceful and scenic, and within no time, we had the incredible luck of spotting the Shoebill Stork – one of Africa’s most iconic birds. Watching it up close in its natural environment was a dream come true! Along the way, Amos also pointed out dozens of other fascinating species – from African jacanas and malachite kingfishers to herons and weavers – making the day a true birdwatcher’s paradise. Amos went above and beyond to ensure we got the best sightings and photographs. His professionalism, patience, and passion for wildlife really stood out, and he made sure everyone felt involved, whether you were a serious birder or just a curious traveler. Unforgettable & affordable Birding tour - Honestly bird watching is not my hobby but I had to join my friends for this shoebil tour with amos. After watching so many other small birds while in the swam, I can tell you that, it's never too late to love something. Watching the shoebill hunt in the swam was such an amazing thing for me. As a beginner in birding, I fell in love with everything: from travelling on the boat canoes to watching the bird. Amos and the team were very professional and took care of me who was just learning the birds for the first time... I would highly recommend this team because I left the tour with so many memories of the birds and would wish to travel more with them on a birding
