Informative tour - Really informative plantation tour. Guide talked through the process of picking tea leaves and then gave our baskets for us each to try to pick some leaves on the mountain side. We then tried a range of teas and were able to buy some in the shop. No need to reserve- tours run throughout the day and you can pay in arrival with card or cash.

Tea production is a lot more interesting than I thought! - The tea factory tour was really worthwhile - even if you're not a big tea drinker. Siva was very passionate and engaging. I know a lot more about tea now!

Great experience - We had a great time at the factory, especially thanks to the explanations of the Rajha Guide. He explained and showed us the whole manufacturing process in a very understandable way. Moreover, the production was not working because we were there on a Monday but he still took the time to turn on the machines. The factory is quite large and the machines are clearly visible. We ended the tour with a tasting. Thank you Rajha for this great time.

Interesting visit - Good experience visiting the factory. The Guide explains in good English the different stages of manufacture, the different teas and components. We go into the factory, as close as possible to the machines and the people who work there. Everyone is welcoming is smiling.

Great tour with Raja - We had a great tour at the factory, seeing every part of the process and even got the chance to help unpack the tea leaves when they came in. Interesting tea tasting. Thank you to Raja who was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions having been in the tea industry for 47years!

Nice and interesting tour by Rajha - Rajha is a kind man and very passionate about tea and the factory. We enjoyed the tour and all the information he provided. We recommend this as Sri Lanka provides 24% of the tea export worldwide

A worthwhile tea factory tour - Really enjoyed this tour of the tea factory, didn't do the plantation tour. Got a good understanding of the process. I think I understand tea a little better now! Group was a little large which meant hearing the guides explanations was a tad difficult at times.

DO NOT GO - Visit for tourist on an empty factory. They take you to collect tea leaves to an area where no one works, specially harvested for visitors. You learn that women are paid 2000 rupies per day provided they collect 20kg… but you’ll pay 3000 per person for the visit… then you’ll try 4 teas with no explanation. Honestly if this visit doesn’t make you stop drinking tea nothing will…
