From there, the journey continues for another hour and a half, passing…

From there, the journey continues for another hour and a half, passing through the village of Pitumarce, until reaching Hanchipata-Llama Chimpana, where the hike begins.
- Ausangate 7 Lagoons Peru - The trek starts at the base of the Ausangate mountain range, ascending for approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Upon arrival at the highest point of Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca), you will witness the stunning colors and the snow-capped Ausangate peak.
- Vinicunca Mountain - At this highest point, you will have the chance to observe various South American camelids (related to camels).
There is also an opportunity to visit the red hill, where you can enjoy the scenery and capture beautiful photos. Please note that the entrance fee to the red hill is not included in the ticket price.
- Cusco - The hike concludes with a 1-hour descent to flat terrain, returning to the starting point.
Here, the driver will be ready to take you back to the District of Cusipata, where you can savor a delicious traditional lunch for 1 hour.
After lunch, the return to Cusco is scheduled, with an estimated arrival time of 3:30 p.m.

Experience of a life time! - Great experience! Do spend 3 days in Cusco getting aclimatized to the altitude (you can use the days before to visit Machu Picchu first as it is only 2.400m above sea level).
The access road up is filled with holes and very curvy, so do be prepared for the ride up and down (going down especially).

Great Tour to Rainbow Mountain and the Red Valley - It was great. You even got plankets in the bus, so you're not getting cold. Carlos, the guide, did a great job. He made sure everyone from the group felt good at the high altitude. Breakfast and Lunch was good too. If you're already on the Rainbow Mountain, you must go to the Red Valley as well. It's soooooo beautiful😍😍😍. And the hike there was really easy compared to the Rainbow Mountain.

HARD but INCREDIBLE - This is the most amazing place I have ever seen. When we got to red valley, I burst into tears because it was so beautiful. The hike at this elevation is HARD but Angel and Agustín didn't make anyone feel rushed. We were all able to go at our own pace which means we got very spread out but they kept track of all of us and made sure we were okay. The shuttle we used for transportation was comfortable and there were multiple opportunities to use the bathroom throughout the day. The guides were also great because they gave us options about which hikes we did and everyone got to do what was right for them. Included breakfast and lunch was such a wonderful gift too and there were a lot of things to choose from at the buffet.

Amazing Journey to Rainbow Mountain - I like the idea of arriving early before the crowd. It makes our journey much more enjoyable. Our guide, Darwin, is knowledgeable and friendly. He speaks good English and takes good photos too!

Darwin was a great guide - Darwin was a great guide that really took the time to made everyone comfortable. And the rainbow mountains was as good as we thought! Spectacular views! It was a pretty tough walk though, so make sure you get well prepared!

The breathtaking landscapes of Rainbow Mountain’s vibrant hues and the serene beauty of the Red Valley left us in awe. Our tour guide, David, was exceptional—knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely passionate about sharing the history, culture, and natural wonders of the region. He paced the hike perfectly, ensuring everyone felt comfortable with the altitude while keeping the experience fun and engaging. The journey was well-organized, from transportation to the delicious local lunch. If you’re visiting Peru, this tour with David is an absolute must. Highly recommended!

Everything great, except the bus was awful - The food was amazing (breakfast and lunch buffets). The guide Vicky was lovely and very knowledgeable, and very honest about how unfortunately the mountain would be covered in snow. We still had a great time but a big big negative was the mini bus. It was incredibly uncomfortable and when some of us came back early from the walk, it was freezing in the van. There were 6 of us (7 including the driver in an awful van for 2 hours, super cold and uncomfortable). I would strongly advise the company to get a more comfortable and heated van.

waste of time - There was a delay in picking up from the hotel. Guide didn't greet or introduce himself at the beginning. The food was awful and the bus was even worse. There was no legroom and the everything was creaking. During the trip the guide didn't tell us much, in addition he basically lost one person and wasn't really interested in how the group was feeling. Due to the rainy season you couldn't see any colors on the mountain. Unfortunately it was not clearly mentioned on the website that at this time of year it can be difficult with visibility and conditions + the guide kept deceiving that the snow won’t be a problem. Additionally discouraged the group from reaching the top of the mountain. I definitely don't recommend a trip with them.
