Excellent Customer Service, Great Tour! - I met Marco from Isla Mujeres Trips, Hidalgo Street, who was my best trip advisor! Thanks to him I booked for a day trip (14-15 h including ferry to Cancun). He gave me good advices for anything I could expect on the way including AC in the bus, taking a towel for a bath, timing etc. He answered all my questions and the trip was worth any cents spent on it! Not to mention I forgot my phone/camera! After panic attack I decided to be happy and just experience what life offers me. I met a guy on that trip asking him to take one photo of me and send it to me after all. I ended up with more pictures than I expected! On the trip I visited spiritual/souvenir Maya’s village Aldea, Cenote Xcajun, Chichen Itza, one of the 7 wonders, and Valladolid, ancient Maya city. Highly recommend Isla Mujeres Trips!!!!!

Great experience - This was great excursion! Our tour guide Robert was very knowledgeable. The drinks were passed out to us throughout the entire ride both ways. The only two negative things I have to say is that the drinks could've been passed out more frequently (because I am a drinker) but it's not really a bad thing, no one got drunk, and by the time we got to Chichen Itza (it was our last stop) we had very little time to explore because the park closed. That was definitely a bit disappointing.

Felt kid napped for 15 hours stuck on a bus all day. - This felt like an absolute waste of a day, especially when you're only in Mexico for a week. This was a 15 hour excursion! The write up says 11 which even that seemed long but 15 hours is ridiculous. No where does it say how long the travel is. Over 8 hours of our day was on a bus. Then they waste another hour at a Mayan tourist trap where they try to push you to pay 70 dollars for a t shirt or 80 for a bracellete. The pyramids were cool to see but not worth it at all. Never again.

Don't visit Chichen Itza with Maya B Travel and especially with Robert - The bus left 1 hour later of the sceduled time. The guide (the name is Robert) was extremely unpolite and unefficient. He took more than 1 hour to buy the bracelets for Chichen Itza and he lost a lot time with the result that we arrived at Chichen Itza, the main attraction of the tour, at 4,00 PM and the site closed at 5,00. Only 1 hour of visit... Therefore the visit was in the hurry and we missed different buildings... Robert did not offered the included drinks on board until 3,00. And many other situations happened. When at the end of the tour he asked for the tip, almost nobody on the bus (50 pax) gave him the tip...

Find a different tour - Tour guide spoke very little English, only understood a few words here and there. Tour made a stop that was not on the itinerary making the entire trip more like 15hrs. Once on the bus they upsold us for things I thought were already included like drinks. Air conditioning on the bus blasted making it unbearably cold.

I don't recommend it at all if you're really interested in Chichen Itza - Really bad experience. Very bad experience. I was very excited to see Chichen Itza and they completely ruined my visit. We were summoned at seven in the morning to take us to a parking lot, where, until nine in the morning (TWO HOURS LATER) we were not picked up by the bus to go to Chichen Itza. Only the first in a series of destinations as long as the tour itself. The guide greeted us with scuffles, as if we were a group of schoolchildren, because some got on the bus unidentified, in a bad mood, and then proceed to bore us with details about the price of souvenirs in Chichen Itza , the heat it is or the complete menu of drinks of the bus. Just five minutes of interesting historical data, accompanied by half an hour of bland explanations about prices and so on. Insufferable. Then we were released twenty minutes in the center of Valladolid (a completely lost time, because you lose five in getting off the bus and then you only have time to turn around the square), then we were taken to a Mayan bazaar to buy things for more than half an hour, practically mandatory, with enormous pressure to buy things by the tour organizers, then hour and a half of food and cenote, ok and, the apotheosis, one hour and twenty minutes to see Chichen Itza. It's not even an hour and a half. Not enough time to see more than maybe 30 or 40 percent of the place and hopefully. One of the wonders of the world, a very rich and complex archaeological place, where they leave you one hour and twenty (say, to see it fast, it takes two hours-two and a half hours, to see it well, about four hours). It's a disgrace. The guide, moreover, is not funny, talks as if he is not interested in what he says and stuffs a lot of stuff. Please, if you are interested in Chichen Itza, do yourself a favor and rent a car. Really, don't use this company, it's a tourist trap.

Don't Use Mayab Travel Tours if You Want to See Chichen Itza - Pick a different company if you want to see Chichen Itza. This was a 15 hour life sucking day and struggle to get any communication from Mayab Travel Tours. I had to message, WhatsApp, and call and still not pickup time the day before the excursion. Finally at 8:30 pm we received messaging indicating 6:40 am pick up. Thanks for the zero notice. The driver did not indicate we were randomly stopping at a bunch of places, including a centralized taxi type station in Cancun and then a coffee shop where we were dropped off, almost an hour and half AFTER pick up. Still no communication, other than waiting for another bus. Finally, after 2 hour in CANCUN we were on the road. The guide mainly spoke Spanish and gave little info to the English speakers. After trying to upsell everyone on their platinum package, they did start pouring drinks for those that paid for that privilege. We only got 20 min in Valladolid, which was enough to see the church. The next part was EXCRUSIATING. The "Mayan village" stop was a tourist trap where you were forced to stand around in the heat/sun to listen to the schpeel and then told to go buy stuff in the over priced souvenir store. Then forced to wait outside in the heat. We were there over an hour and they didn't really want you going to look at the small Mayan temple there. This stop was purely to get you to buy overpriced items ($20 usd for a fridge magnet). We got to the Cenote and were given one hour to eat lunch and swim. I was told my package included the locker and life jackets but I had to pay for those again there. Again, ZERO communication or help from the guide. The cenote was nice but with limited time you barely had time to change and swim 10 minutes before needing to hurry and eat. Lunch was old and dried out. Even though we were given our drink tickets as part of our package we could only get the flavored water, (again, not what was indicated.) The worst part was when we finally got to Chichen Itza, gathered and inside there was less than an HOUR before closing. By the time we walked to several areas they were already closed off. We basically spent the whole day getting there and little time to actually see what the day was intended for. As for the souveniers, you can buy any of those any stop you make for much cheaper (including the hundreds of vendors that now line the streets of Chichen Itza). Don't get sucked in. But definitely don't get stuck on a bus for 15 hours to not see the main attraction. The one thing they did do right was provide the drinks (water, soda for us/ alcohol for others )and umbrella as promised since I was a sucker and had upgraded with my original booking. I picked this company because it said the first stop was Chichen Itza and I had wanted most of the time spent there.
