• Waitomo Glowworm Caves - Upon reaching the first main attraction, guests will be guided through the ancient and remarkable caves, observing various formations such as Stalactites, Stalagmites, and Lime Columns before descending further underground for the Glowworm experience. Board a glowworm boat for a cruise on the grotto river with thousands of Glowworms twinkling above. Unique to New Zealand for over 120 years, the Waitomo Glowworm Caves are a must-visit for any traveler.
• Fat Kiwi Cafe - It’s time to refuel with a delicious lunch, included in the tour. • Hobbiton Movie Set - Upon arrival at the second main attraction ‘Hobbiton,’ board one of the large green Hobbiton buses for a two and a half hour fully guided tour of this incredible 12-acre movie set with a professional Hobbiton guide to ensure the visit is maximized. During the tour, step into the lush pastures of the Shire, visit 44 hobbit holes, explore amazing gardens, hear the secrets and stories about the making of the movies, and enjoy a complimentary cold beverage at the famous Hobbiton pub ‘The Green Dragon Inn.’

* Maintenance & restoration construction at Hobbiton is scheduled to begin on 01 June 2025, with major works expected to be completed by September 2025. During this time, construction and maintenance equipment and noise will be present. Tours will continue as usual but will take an alternate route around the construction zone, offering a glimpse of the work involved in maintaining the magical appearance of the Hobbiton Movie Set as seen in the films.

• Karapiro - This beautiful lake is home to one of New Zealand’s first hydro dams and is where some of New Zealand’s top rowers train. With stunning views across the lake and countryside, it’s an ideal spot for a quick break and some photos.
• Auckland - Unfortunately, after Hobbiton, the journey must head north again, but the day is not over with a fully guided return trip to Auckland, including secret stops along the way.

• Due to the delicate ecosystem within the Waitomo Caves, photography is not permitted inside.
• A moderate amount of walking is involved. Due to uneven surfaces, this tour is not recommended for those with walking disabilities or using a wheelchair.
• Bus tour operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately.
• Children 7 years old and under are required to travel in a child safety car seat. If you don’t have a car seat one can be provided, please contact us at least 24 hours in advance to arrange this.
