• Gaintza Txakolina - The journey continues to Getaria, a true paradise for Txakoli enthusiasts! As one of the four Txakoli wine regions, Getaria is the most celebrated. A visit to a small, sustainable winery showcases traditional winemaking methods. Participants will explore the ‘txakoli’ production process, including Hondarribi Zuri and Beltza grapes, and learn about serving and pairing. After the insights, it’s time to savor this bubbly, crisp beverage!
• Getaria - Following the wine tasting, the medieval village of Getaria awaits discovery. Participants will delve into the village’s rich history and learn about notable figures like Elkano, the first person to circumnavigate the globe, and Balenciaga, a legendary fashion designer. Getaria offers medieval charm, fishing traditions, txakoli wine, and top-notch seafood restaurants.
• Asador -Mayflower- Erretegia - It’s lunchtime! Getaria boasts some of the finest seafood restaurants in the area, providing an opportunity to enjoy its specialty: charcoal-grilled fish paired with local wine. • Monte Igueldo - As the tour concludes, the journey back begins. Leaving Getaria, the route follows the coastal path to Zarautz and Orio, leading to a drive up Mount Igueldo. This scenic ride passes through lush fields and farmhouses, offering breathtaking ocean views.
