Best guided tour yet! - Our guide Vlad was AMAZING! Couldn’t have asked for a better guide on this trip. We had a small group- my friend and I and another pair. Small group was perfect for navigating some crowded spots and spotting bathroom breaks! It was easy to hear him as he joked and told us memorable tales about the different castles, Romanian folklore, and bears! For all the activities, you have to buy the tickets at the site, so make sure you bring your card and have service on your phone for the Peleș Castle tickets. (Have to buy online) Libearty Bear Sanctuary- prepare to cry at the sad stories that brought these abused bears to their rescue. Our guide Maria was amazing! Bran Castle- Though the castle was busy (like always!) we were impressed with Vlad’s knowledge and ability to navigate the crowds. Distillery- since my friend and I had initially signed up for the tour with a Palinca tasting, and we got switched to a new group- Vlad was able to keep this in for us, which was wonderful to try the different flavors of this Romanian liquor. Peleș Castle- we had to rush to get in before they closed. But get in we did!!! Other larger tours were going on around us, and while we waited our turn, Vlad kindly pointed out facts that the other guides missed—which we loved. Overall, Vlad was an amazing tour guide. I would go on another tour with him in a heartbeat!!

Fun fulfilling day - My partner and I really enjoyed this tour. Our tour guide was nice and knowledgeable. We were very happy to be able to see the bears and both castles all on the same day.

You won't regret this tour! - If you're debating between different tours and reading reviews to make a decision, BOOK THIS ONE! You won't regret it. We booked this tour for February 8, 2025 and it was amazing. First and foremost, Vlad was prompt contacting me after booking to figure out logistics of where to pickup and drop off. Once he had us scheduled he had our guide, Vali, reach out to confirm within hours. Vali picked us up at our Brasov hotel in the morning and away we went to LiBEARty Sanctuary. Along the hour drive he gave us information about the day ahead and tons of insider information about the history of the Bear Sanctuary. Vali is also a volunteer guide at the sanctuary so his personal stories and history were even more impactful once there. He ended up leading the tour at the sanctuary in the morning with us and about 15 other people. Next up, we drove about a half hour to Bran Castle and Vali gave us more insight into the fortress and history of the region as we drove towards the mountains. Always kind to take our questions and it felt like hanging out with a friend in their hometown. We toured Bran Castle and afterwards Vali gave us time to explore the town and have lunch on our own. After meeting back up, we departed to Peles Castle. From Bran to Peles was the longest drive of the day going up and over the mountain roads but Vali being the pro he is, had tons of information to share about the region. Once we arrived to Peles, we took a brief walk to the castle and were absolutely amazed at the beauty of this place. It's overwhelming how beautiful it is inside. After Peles we headed back to Brasov where we were to be dropped at the train station to head off to our next destination. Because of our late departure that evening, Vali was so incredibly kind to take his time driving us back through the scenic route and stopped to have dinner with us. I genuinely cannot express how grateful I was for this tour and appreciative of Vali. Truly, this is one of the brightest highlights of my time in Romania.

Expert Guide - Vali was my guide for the day. He picked me up from the train station in Brasov right on time. He is a volunteer at the Bear Sanctuary so he is very knowledgeable about all the bears and their backstories. Bran and Peles castles were such unique places to visit and Vali was well versed in the history of both. Had a wonderful time! Highly recommend the tour and Vali!

Incredible experience - Vale our guide took us to Libearty bear sanctuary, Brans castle and Peles castle. The sanctuary was incredible, and by itself worth the money we spent on the whole tour. All 123+ bears, wolves and other animals have been saved from terrible pasts and are now cared for by the dedicated team. As a conservation and wildlife biologist, i was genuinely blown away by the setup. Both castles were stunning and Vale our guide (a veritable history buff) described in such beautiful detail the histories of each location, royal families and Romania. He even dropped us at the train station afterward, Thank you Vale! We would definitely do it again and highly recommend this company. Vlad our ski trip guide for a few days previous was also amazing! We will be back and booking again.

Amazing guided tour! - Valentin was a great tour guide and very knowledgeable throughout the tour. The tour is limited to small groups and we were fortunate to be just the two of us in the group. Highly recommend this company.

Just do it !!! Great experience ! - Such a great day ! Picked up from accommodation, there were a couple of others on the tour as well. We went to Peles, Bran Castle, and then ‘bears in the wild’. Highly recommend all of them. For me, the bear watching was a particularly ‘stand out’ experience. Vlad is a great tour guide, friendly and professional,

Brilliant tour!- Coming from 1st time English travellers - Had the most amazing day trip with our driver/ tour guide Vlad. He was incredibly friendly, chatty, informative and flexible with our every need. Highly recommend this trip and tour guide. There wasn’t one moment I felt bored or wondered what was going on. His English is amazing. The only thing to mention is Peles castle being under slight construction renovation at the main clock tower currently, however this did not effect our tour at all and there were still lots of unaffected photo opportunities available inside and out around the castle grounds.
